Leadership Positions – List all elected or appointed leadership positions held at MATES, community, sports or work activities. Only those positions in which you were directly responsible for directing or motivating others should be included. For example: elected student body, class or club officer; committee chairperson; team captain; newspaper editor; work area manager; or community leader. Please be sure that you use a font no less than 10 pt and no greater than 12 pt (Times New Roman or Arial font types are acceptable). Be sure that your essays are double spaced with you name on the top of each page. Essays are to be no more than 300 words (typed) each. 1. If you were selected to the MATES NHS Chapter, how would you contribute to the continued growth and success of our Chapter? 2. The National Honor Society encompasses four aspects of a person including character, scholarship, leadership and service. In terms of character: “A candidate will exemplify the guidelines and policies of MATES with outstanding conduct and behavior.
