Auction Rules
Rules for the Live Auction
1.
Please take a seat during the auction so the spotters and auctioneer can see the bidders.
2.
The auction will move quickly, so review the items that interest you prior to the auction
and bid decisively.
3.
If you are bidding please participate loud and clear.
4.
If you are the successful bidder, please let auctioneer see your bid number.
Please take your bid number to the register after bidding; you will receive a receipt
after checking out and your items have been paid for.

Rules for the Silent Auction
1.
Bids are to be in $5 increments.
2.
No Item Guarding.
3.
The Silent Auction items will be pulled by SCWA staff or committee members.
4.
Please use only your bid number not your name.
5.
All items are to be paid for before you can pick them up.

After the auction, please take your receipts to the register table for payment.

1. “Angel Oak” by Kent Porth Nature Photography
This is a beautiful archive quality framed photographic portrait of the ancient oak located
in Charleston County, South Carolina. This grandfather tree’s branches have been
weighted down over the years to create a sight so magnificent it has become the subject
of many artists.
2. SCWA Afghan
This afghan has been created especially for the South Carolina Waterfowl Association for
this banquet season. Featuring the full color photo of a Wood duck, taken by local
photographer, Doug Gardner, this afghan will add style and function to the lucky winner’s
household.
3. Camp Woodie – Junior Camp - One Week
Camp Woodie is the nation’s leading summer waterfowl and wildlife conservation camp.
Camp Woodie exists to educate our youth and pass on our waterfowl heritage and the
values of wildlife conservation. It is achieving its mission with the help of expert instructors
that deliver hands-on fun filled education programs to our next generation of young
waterfowl hunters and conservationists. (Winning bidder can upgrade to Senior Camp for
12 – 16 years old by paying the $150 difference).
4. “Full Sail” by F. W. Thomas
This uniquely framed print by F.W. Thomas features the salt water scene of nature’s fatal
attraction to man’s bait. Your wall color will show through as the perfect matte making
this print nearly limitless on placement in your home.
5. Silver Stag Damascus Blade Knife with Display Box
2.7” Damascus Blade with tine handles, finger grooves, and a hand-laced custom leather
belt sheath is included. The blade is hand profiled from a layered steel billet block. The
combination of layered hard and soft steels creates blade flexibility, toughness, and
produces invisible serrations on the edge that aid cutting. SILVER STAG Damascus blades
are extremely functional and durable.
6. Joey Jobes Hand Carved Pintail Decoy with Stand
The Jobes family has been carving working gunning decoys in the Havre De Grace
Maryland Chesapeake Bay area for over 75 years. This working pintail decoy was hand
carved by Joey Jobes the Grandson of Captain Harry Jobes one of North America's most
famous decoy carvers. This decoy is sure to be a valuable collector’s item.

9. South African Plains Game Hunt, for up to 4 People, 5 Days - Donated by Wild
Wildebeest Lodge (Mike and Karen Helbing)
The South African Hunting Safari is for 2 or 4 hunters (2x1). Included are 5 days of daily
rates (lodging, meals, and all beverages), with $1,000 toward trophy fees, and an
additional $2,000 toward trophy fees if upgraded to a 10-day hunt. Not included in the
donation is airfare to/from Johannesburg, day of arrival and day of departure, conservation
fees, VAT tax, dip and pack if taxidermy is done in the U.S., and gratuities. Hunt may be
taken from March through October 2016 or 2017. This 5-day donation is valued at $8,000;
if upgraded to 10 days, donation is valued at $10,000. With this trip, Woods & Water
Taxidermy in Conroe, Texas is offering $500 credit per hunter toward taxidermy work done
by their company.
10. “Cats and Dogs” by Hayden Lambson
Known around the world for his dedication to wildlife, Hayden Lambson has created a
beautiful scene showing two Labrador retrievers in the cattails of a pond. This is a limited
edition print that will go great in your house or cabin.
11. Quail & Pheasant Hunt – Donated by River Bend Sportsmen Resort
2 Person Half day regular package hunt. Includes: 30 quail, 2 pheasant, 2 chukar, dogs
and guide, 2 lunches, skeet range warm up, and cleaning and packaging of birds.

finished with WATCO butchers block oil. It’s safe for food contact.

You are bidding on four pallets of centipede or Bermuda sod donated by Super Sod in
Orangeburg, South Carolina. Super Sod is the Southeast's Premier quality sod producer.
Each pallet of sod will cover 504 square feet for a total of 2,016 square feet. Extra pallets
can be purchased at the regular price. Delivery cost is not included but can be arranged
with Super Sod. (Retail Value $500)
19. “Junkyard Hog” by Hayden Lambson
Known around the world for his dedication to wildlife, Hayden Lambson has created a
beautiful wildlife scene featuring a deer wandering through an overgrown farm. This is a
limited edition print that will go great in your house or cabin.

You are bidding on a 30 bird quail hunt.
21. 10 bags of wheat from C Farm
ECONOMY MIX – Fall (Wheat, Oats & Rye) An annual mix, this is a favorite because it is
easy to grow and attracts many different species of wildlife, including deer, turkey, dove,
quail, and rabbits. Planting Date – September through November, Planting Rate – 75#
