Anticipatory Set – Material – Time Clocks, TTW call out times and TSW locate the correct time
on the clock.

Teacher center: Remediation/skill building center. Teacher drives DI based on class work, tests,
I-ready reports, and ST math.
Clock Packet – TSW complete a work packet – Estimating time, time patterns, time word
problems, and elapsed time.
Computer center- I-ready Math/ST MATH.
Clock to Word to Digital – TSW work together to write the words on the time shown on the
clock and write in digital time as well. Use the corresponding recording form.
Second Grade Schedule Challenge – TSW sort the strips of subjects with written times and
place in sequential order. TSW be able to complete a form with a list of all subjects and writing
in the time in digital and analog time. Then they will need to rewrite the list on their second
form in the correct order.

The following students work with Mr. Redmond four days a week and complete their testing with
him: LaSamuel, O’reuna, and Deshamus. They work on center skills based on their levels at a slower
one-on-one bases. He also assist when we have worked on PBA’s.

We will be revisiting the following pages in the Reading Ready Common Core book.
Theme of the lesson: Tales That Tickle
The teacher will open the lesson using page 205 “Tap Student’s Prior Knowledge” resource
section in the teacher Ready Common Core book. TTW explain to students that they will be
working on how pictures in a story help describe the story elements.

Teacher center: Remediation/skill building center. Teacher drives DI based on class work, tests,
I-ready reports, ect. TTW have students working on various skills needed based on collaboration
with BOOST teacher and I-ready Reports.

Monday-Friday TSW complete various story elements activities using certain stories and their
illustrations.

Language Center: This week’s center work for language will come from the skill of using an
apostrophe to form contractions and frequently occurring
possessives. TSW complete various contractions activities throughout the week.

This week’s writing center will consist of students completing the teacher guided writing lesson
of narrative writing. TSW be given a picture that they must write a story to match. TSW use the
pictures to include the story elements.
This week’s summative assessments will come from the daily center work. Also, TTW walk
around and monitor group discussions on the various passages read. TTW distribute exit slips at
the beginning of the week that the students are to complete each day.
The formal assessment will come from the 9 week exam.

TSW read various stories about people participating goods and services. TSW complete a chart on goods
and services.
Homework
Homework is given to students on Monday in which work comes from the RCC book. They must
complete it by Friday.

Throughout the week, the teacher will show many digital books to incorporate images and
texts. TSW see how the images in a text can add meaning to the story and answer questions
about the story that are not listed in the text.

The low support students will be assigned parts to the story “Sing Softer Maggie” The group of students
will tell the story using narration and sound effects for the class and explain how they used the details in
the story to present each character. (Deniya, Joya, Takaye, Bacara)
