Administrator’s Desk:
Spring is coming!
That is my favorite time of year because
everything starts fresh and new. We have had some
marvelous changes over the last few months and it
will benefit everyone. The word is getting out
about the great facilities and the wonderful
programs that we are offering our families. Our
Columbus center is getting very full and soon we
will overflow again to the Fall River center. We
have no new families joining Fall River so we can
not bring on any new teachers yet. We have some
families that wanted our program right away and
they were willing to start in Columbus where there
was space but would like to switch to Fall River as
soon as there is room.
How will all of this help? With increased
staffing we will not have to juggle the children to
different classrooms as often. The increased
income will allow us to purchase some necessary
items that we have been unable to get. But most of
all it will bring up the morale that has been so low
for so long. We have had a tough 3 years but it just
proves that if you hold out hope and work hard that
life will come back. It might not be exactly the
same but it is the best we can give to you.
There is a lot going on in the government
right now, my staff is not part of the union, so what
is decided will affect us as it will everyone.
Whether we agree or disagree it will be dealt with
personally and not at work. Our concern while at
the center is for the children and the care they are
receiving from us.
Enjoy all the fun events that are coming this spring
and keep the word of mouth advertising going.
Remember if they mention your name you will get
$25 off your invoice when they start attending.
I love life and I hope you do too!
Jo

Hi, my name is Michelle Meyer and this is a
little bit about me. I am married with 3 children and
I live around the Waupun area. In 1991 I graduated
from Waupun High School. I also went to Moraine
Park Tech School for child care education.
Since I was 12 years old, I have had a
passion to work around children. In my spare time,
I love spending time with my family such as,
fishing, having bon fires, and also ATV riding.
I hope this helps you know a little bit about
me and I continue to look forward caring for your
children.
Ms. Michelle

Outstanding Ones
We are extremely happy to be able to get to
go outside once again. The fresh air is wonderful!
We can't wait 'till spring.
Some of our fun activities last month were:
* flour
* color wall matching
* peek a boo wall (which they loved)
* rip paper art
(they all sat for 15 minutes gluing the paper on)WOW!!!
Their favorite book and song this past month
was Skip To My Lou! So if you here them saying
lou lou lou, this is why.
Quotes / Stories of the month:
* "Abbi, do you want pink paint or purple
paint?" "Ummmmm, (with her finger to her mouth)
I want lellow!"
* Haven was jumping on the zebra bouncer.
Lauren was standing near by, watching. Haven
looked at Lauren and got off and said "’Arns turn"
with a big smile.
* As I was changing Abbi's diaper I heard
these sounds coming from the slide area. I asked
Abbi what she thought those noises were. She said
it was an "elephant". We both peeked around the
diaper changing table and there was Lauren blowing
air through her puckered lips! Abbi said "no
elephant, Lauren!" We all three laughed.
Have a great month,
Ms. Cindy and the Ones
The Tator Tots:
Merry March everyone I hope everyone had
a great Valentines Day and enjoyed watching the
Packers win the Super Bowl- except for those Bears
and Steelers Fans
Anyways, we have been keeping busy inside
and trying to get outside when we can on those
nicer days. COME ON SPRING!! Please continue
to keep extra clothes, boots, and snow pants so we
can get outside and get fresh air whenever possible.
Congratulations to Clara on wearing big girl
underwear! Also, a big Happy Birthday to my
birthday buddies Emma and Clara. You two have
grown up so much! It’s great to be two!
Our theme for March will be shapes and
colors. We will have special color dress up days
each week. I will keep you posted on that. We are
also going to be looking for all sorts of shapes.
Especially the “wrecktangle” because it is the most
destructive. We will also be having a gold hunt
for St. Patty’s day.

Well now that February is over we get to
prepare for March and the start of spring. And let’s
not forget water and lots of mud. Please check your
child's cubby for extra clothes including socks. Our
theme for March is going to be leprechauns and
clovers. Maybe we will get Lucky and find the pot
of gold.
We will be doing a special cooking project
for March. Please check the parent board for the
items we will need.

Playful Kittens:
Hello everyone,
February brought us enjoyment throughout
our classroom. We had a great time making our
“own” Valentines for everyone in the class. We all
did a fantastic job! Thank you to everyone that
brought in “goodies” to be mixed up in our snack
mix for our party. It sure was yummy. We have
also learned how to make the color purple… mix
red and blue and get purple. Water coloring sure is
fun! Our writing center has been a huge hit! We
have learned how to use a stapler and hole puncher
and now we are able to write letters and send
pictures in envelopes to our friends. The wipe off
boards are great for relaxing time also.
As most of you know Mr. Carib has returned
back to school a majority of the time. He opens the
center Monday through Thursday and works until
about 8am. He then comes back on Tuesdays and
Thursday at 3pm until close. On Fridays he works
at 11am. So therefore Jo had to figure out who
would take the other time slots… well Ms. Toni
works everyday till about 3pm and Mr. Johnson
works on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 till
close. We have been working well together to make
our lesson planning work. If you need to get a hold
of one of us, these times and days work well
As you have noticed the classroom has
changed a little bit. We have made different centers
and a quiet area for all the children. Each child has
a “cubby” which is located near the main door
along side the wall… PLEASE empty this every
Friday when you pick your child up. We have been
working hard on different art projects and they tend
to add up fast.
During the month of March, we will talk a
bit about the four seasons and do some art projects
to go with them. On March 2nd- we will dive into
some Dr. Seuss books and talk about the work he
has done. We are hoping for some more nice
weather so we all can enjoy then fresh air.
Remember to bring in all snow gear (boots, jacket,
snow pants, waterproof gloves and hat) even if the
weather gets a bit warmer- it will still be a bit wet
outdoors.
We will have a small party for St. Patrick’s
Day. The teacher will provide the snacks for this
party! This day will also be our “Green” Day. If
your child would like to dress up in green that
would be great
Happy Birthday to Mr. Carib!!!
3
We hope you all have a great St. Patrick’s Day
Cross your fingers for warmer weather!!
Mr. Carib, Ms. Toni, and Mr. Johnson
A Special Note:: Our last day of preschool will be:
Mon/Wed/Fri class- May 27th and Tue/Thurs class
will be May 26th. Our graduation ceremony will
take place on May 27th at 6:00pm at the Fall River
Park. More details at a later date.
I hope everyone is having fun in Preschool, I know
that I am
Preschool
Welcome to the month of March. February
has gone and now we can hope for some nicer
weather. I want to thank everyone who brought in
“yummy” Valentine snacks. All the children had a
blast handing out their very own Valentines Also,
thank you to all the families that brought in a
special gift for me. It is always truly thoughtful of
all of you! Thank you again.
I would like to start off by saying
“CONGRATULATIONS PRESCHOOLERS” for
all your hard work completing your book worms.
Both of them have very full bodies. With that said
each class has earned a pizza, pajama party day.
The Mon./Wed./Fri class will have their party on
March 4th and the Tue./Thurs. Class will have theirs
on March 8th. They may wear their pajamas to
school that day. Watch for a note to be sent home
soon!
A big THANK YOU goes out to our snack
providers for the month of February: Jordan and
Emma- you made great choices
We have started our classroom story books.
Each child decorates a page and we put them all
into a binder. Each child will be bringing them
home at some point for you all to read. They are
super cute
During the month of March we will focus on
more scissor cutting, Dr. Suess’ birthday, Spring,
and friendship. Please watch your child’s folder
with more information on these topics.
We will be celebrating St. Patricks Day also.
This is a great time for the class to dress up and
wear GREEN!
NO SCHOOL:::
SPRING BREAK: March 21st- March 25th!
Til Next Month,
Ms. Toni
Scholastic News
February was a great month for orders. I
will continue to put flyers in your child’s
pockets/Folders for easier viewing. Extra forms
will be available at each center’s Scholastic areas.
Please remember that if you decide to do a
paper order form, checks must be written out to
Scholastic Book Club. NO CASH! Online orders
are easy and earn your child’s classroom a FREE $3

Our bonus points are accumulating nicely
and at this month’s staff meeting we will decide
what we’d like to get for both centers. I know a

teachers.
