Kurt Schacht, CFA Kurt N. Schacht, JD, CFA, is the Managing Director, Centre for Financial Market Integrity of CFA Institute. He is responsible for all aspects of the Centre’s efforts to develop, promulgate, and maintain the highest ethical standards for the investment community including CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct, Global Investment Performance Standards ®, CFA Institute Research Objectivity Standards, and CFA Institute Soft Dollar Standards ®. Prior to joining CFA Institute Mr. Schacht served as chief operating officer for a retail mutual complex, general counsel and COO for a Manhattan based hedge fund, and as chief legal officer for the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB). He currently serves on the Proxy Committee of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN), the Advisory Committee for Small Public Companies of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Expert Group for Principles for Responsible Investment of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and was the New York Society of Security Analysts 2004 Volunteer of the Year. Schacht received his B.S. in Chemistry (1976) and a JD (1983) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a CFA charterholder since 1998. Jason Trennert Jason DeSena Trennert is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Strategist of Strategas Research Partners LLC. He has been ranked consistently by Institutional Investor magazine as one of the top Strategists on Wall Street and has been named to SmartMoney magazine's Power 30 list of the most influential people in the world of investing. He has earned a reputation as a keen market observer and for his regular, and often humorous, essays on investing. Widely quoted in the domestic and foreign press, he is a regular guest host on CNBC's Squawk Box. He is the author of the popular investment book, New Markets, New Strategies, published in 2005 by McGraw Hill. Prior to founding Strategas, Mr. Trennert was the Chief Investment Strategist and a Senior Managing Director at International Strategy & Investment (ISI) Group where he built and oversaw two of that Firm's most popular research efforts, the Company Surveys and more recently, its Investment Strategy Group. He has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and BS in International Economics from Georgetown University. Tom Keene, CFA Thomas R. Keene, CFA is an editor-at-large for Bloomberg News. He provides economic and investment perspective to Bloomberg's various news divisions and writes the chart of the day article, available only on the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL service and featured on Bloomberg Television. Tom is the host of "Bloomberg on the Economy" heard weeknights on the Bloomberg Radio network and on podcasts on Bloomberg.com and iTunes. He is co-host of "Bloomberg Surveillance" heard weekday mornings on Bloomberg Radio. Tom is editor of Flying on One Engine, The Bloomberg Book of Master Market Economists, Fourteen Views on the World Economy, published in 2005 (two chapters appeared in the CFA Institute curriculum). He is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology and is enrolled in courses at the London School of Economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a member of the CFA Institute, the National Association for Business Economics and The Economic Club of New York. Bob Luck, CFA Robert M. Luck, Jr., CFA, CPA serves as the Director of Member & Society Relations for the CFA Centre for Financial Market Integrity. He works to develop communications and resources for members of the CFA Institute in the areas of professional standards, investment performance standards, and capital market policy. Mr. Luck joined the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFA) in 1982 and served as CFO and Treasurer for both the ICFA and the Financial Analyst Federation prior to their merger and the creation of AIMR in 1990. As VP of Curriculum and Examinations for 12 years, he was responsible for curriculum development, exam development, and exam grading. He has previous experience as a staff consultant with Arthur Anderson and in private industry. Mr. Luck holds both a BS and an MS from the University of Virginia. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Certified Public Accountant.
