A. MAIN FEATURES:
1. 360-degree Hemispheric-view Outdoor Mini Dome Network
Camera:
The camera shall provide 5-megapixel, high-resolution video and a
360-degree view of an area with the use of just one camera.
The camera shall be ideal for both indoor and outdoor
environments such as retail outlets, campuses and commercial
buildings. It helps users eliminate blind spots and enhance
situational awareness.
2. 360-degree hemispheric imaging technology with a panomorph*
lens:
The panomorph lens shall capture 360 degrees of real-time video,
outperforming any conventional fisheye lenses with superior clear
image quality and greater coverage, especially towards edge of
lens.
The panomorph lens, compared to fisheye lenses, shall have not
only bigger optical image sensor coverage, but also an increased
resolution on the periphery increasing the size on the sensor of
distant objects.

There is better resolution uniformity over the entire image than with
fisheye lenses, achieved by applying more pixels on the periphery
of the image.
3. 5-megapixel (2560 x 1920) high resolution live video, supporting
H.264 at 10 fps (IP) and JPEG at 13 fps

High Definition (FHD):
4. 11 kinds of view modes:
A variety of 11 multiple view modes supported by Active X shall be
capable of having 360-degree immersive navigation, including the
camera’s original 360-degree hemispheric view, a 180-degree
panoramic view and multiple simultaneous views all produced from
the same hemispheric image.
The original 360-degree hemispheric view (original view:1O mode)
is produced with a much larger footprint on the image sensor using
more pixels than the circular-shaped footprint with conventional
fisheye lenses.

5. 3 kinds of mounting types:

6. Electronic pan/tilt/zoom (e-PTZ) for easy operation and quickresponse in every hemispheric image:
Electronic pan/tilt/zoom (e-PTZ, aka Solid-PTZ) shall navigate the
camera’s visible area in every hemispheric image by its digital pan,
tilt, and zoom functionalities for easy and quick-response operation
on Sony web viewer in Internet explorer.
7. Dewarping with VMS for immersive monitoring at Client Side:
De-warping operations are available even after recording (postincident analysis).
Dewarping shall be fully compatible with all major video
management software (VMS) platforms and other solutions that
are certified ImmerVision Enables.
8. Simultaneously encoding up to 3 of the following streams in any
combination, including multiple instances of the same compression
format: JPEG and/or H.264 (High/Main/Baseline Profile)

9. IP66-rated waterproof and dust-tight feature:
The camera shall be IP66 rated in accordance with the IEC 605292
standard for outdoor surveillance, or indoor where water ingress
may pose an issue.
10. IK10-rated vandal-resistant feature:
The camera shall be IK10 rated in accordance with the IEC 62262
standard to vandal-resistant feature for protecting the camera from
destructive behaviors.
11. The camera shall be compliant with the Open Network Video
Interface Forum Profile S (ONVIF Profile S) conformance.

B. CAMERA:
1. The camera shall utilize a 1/2.5-type progressive scan CMOS
sensor.
2. The number of effective pixels shall be approx. 5 Megapixels
(effective picture elements: Approx. 4,910,000).
3. The camera shall require a minimum scene illumination of:

7. The camera shall adjust the target brightness for the automatic
exposure setting by selecting the exposure correction value from
the list box on the menu.
8. White balance shall be selected among ATW (approx. 2800 K to
10000 K), Fix current value, or Manual settings.
The R/B gain can be adjusted in the range of 0 % to 100 % oin
Manual mode.
9. The camera shall have an IR compensated fixed focal lens.
10. The camera shall have 12X digital zoom capability.
11. The viewing angle shall be:

15. The camera shall be capable of 1 guard tour (position tour), for
which up to 20 presets can be programmed, and moves to each
preset sequentially when guard tour is activated.

C. CAMERA FEATURES:
1. The camera shall have an Electronic Day/Night (D/N) function to
switch to Day mode (color mode) or Night mode (black and white
mode) depending on the light level.
As the scene illumination reduces and the acquired image darkens,
the infrared cut (IR-cut) filter is automatically removed from the
CCD imager and the camera switches to Night mode (black and
white mode).
2. The camera shall be capable of an e-flip function, a feature when
the camera passes the down position, electronically flips the image
180˚.
3. The camera shall have 11 kinds of view modes supported by
Active X.
[1 Original (1O)] view mode:
The 1O mode is suitable for taking an over-view glimpse of a
surveillance area with a ceiling mount camera.
In the other display modes, the compensated images will be
displayed from 1O mode.
[1 Panoramic (1P)] view mode:
In 1P mode, the hemispheric image is displayed as a 360°
panoramic screen. When the camera is installed on a wall, the
image is displayed as a 180° screen.
User can move the screen horizontally and smoothly by using the
mouse. The zoom in or out function cannot be used in this mode.
[1 Regional (1R)] view mode:
In the 1R mode, the image is displayed as the specified and
trimmed area in a hemispheric screen.
User can zoom in or out (using the mouse wheel or camera control

panel), or move around other areas within the hemisphere using
simple mouse clicks and drags. A single-click on any part of the
screen will position it in the center of the view window.
[2 Panoramic (2P)] view mode:
In 2P mode, the hemispheric image is displayed as the 360°
panoramic screen which is converted the same as 1P mode. 2
screens, above and below, are displayed separately, each with a
180° view.
User can move the screen horizontally and smoothly by using the
mouse. The zoom in or out function cannot be used in this mode.
[1 Original & 3 Regional (1O-3R)] view mode:
In the 1O-3R mode, 4 screens; the original view and 3 regional
views are displayed. The FOV indicators (#1 to #3) display the
position of each regional view.
User can zoom in or out and move the position to other areas
within the hemisphere using the same methods as 1R mode.
Use can also change the locations of Regional views by dragging
the FOV indicators on the "Original" round-shape oval view.

[4 Regional (4R)] view mode:
The 4R mode displays 4 regional views. In this mode, the original
view cannot be displayed. This differs from the 1O-3R mode.
[4 Regional interactive(4Ri)] view mode:
In the 4Ri mode, all 4 view windows rotate at the same time when
1 view window’s displayed area is changed. The zoom in or out,
and tilt operation cannot be used in this mode.
[1 Original & 8 Regional (1O-8R)] view mode:
The 1O-8R mode displays the original view and 8 regional views.
[1 Panoramic & 2 Regional (1P-2R)] view mode:
The 1P-2R mode is only available when Mount type is set to Wall.
[1 Panoramic & 3 Regional (1P-3R)] view mode:
The 1P-3R mode is only available when Mount type is set to Wall.

[1080p] view mode:
The 1080p mode is only available when Mount type is set to Wall.
The compensated image from the original hemispheric image is
displayed in 16:9, Full HD video signal (1920 x 1080) at 30 fps.
When the 1080p mode is selected, user cannot use any of the
display modes of the other fisheye mode. The pan, tilt and zoom
function also cannot be used.
4. The camera shall have an auto-rotation (AutoPano) mode which is
capable of rotating each regional view at 360-degree via camera
control panel.
5. The camera shall have a wide dynamic range capability that is
achieved using unique wide dynamic range technologies.
6. Wide dynamic range technology shall expand the video dynamic
range of the camera to improve the visibility of images even in
extremely high-contrast environments and shall also compensate
for scenes with extremely poor contrast.
7. The camera shall have tone correction feature using the global
tone mapping.
The global tone mapping shall create a high dynamic range image
by calculating the data values from all pixels in the image.
8. The camera shall have up to 5 privacy zones masking (quadrangle
formed by any 4 corner points) which blocks out unwanted or
prohibited area within the video image to protect privacy. Mask
colors shall be Black.

9. The camera shall have an ‘Edge Storage’ for onboard recording to
record video and audio data with a micro SD/SDHC memory card
(not supplied) attached to the camera.
It can be used for fail-safe data backup if the network is
disconnected due to unstable network conditions or other
difficulties.
It can also be used for event recording when the recording is
started by an alarm signal triggered by the camera’s video
analytics functions (such as Alarm Input, Motion Detection and
Tamper Alarm. Triggers are capable of setting either manually or
periodically.
This function also enables scheduled recording, for convenient
local storage. The recorded data can be transmitted to networkattached storage (NAS) and merged with data stored on the NAS
unit.
Continuous recording is not recommended, as memory cards have
a finite lifespan that is reduced over time by recording.
10. The camera shall be IK10 rated in accordance with the IEC 62262
standard to vandal-resistant feature for protecting the camera from
destructive behaviors.
11. The camera shall be IP66 rated in accordance with the IEC 60529
standard to have waterproof and dust-tight feature for outdoor
surveillance, or indoor where water ingress may pose an issue.
12. The camera web browser shall support the following languages:
English, Japanese, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Simplified
Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Hindi,
Arabic, Vietnamese, and Thai.

D. VIDEO:
1. The supported resolutions shall be:
for Fisheye mode (H.264, JPEG): 2560 x 1920, 2048 x 1536, 1600
x 1200, 800 x 600, 640 x 480
for 1080p mode (H.264, JPEG): 1920 x 1080, 1600 x 904, 1360 x
768, 1280 x 720, 640 x 360
2. The supported resolutions are shown in the following:

3. The camera shall support the following compression formats:
JPEG and H.264 (High/Main/Baseline Profile).
4. The maximum resolution for each compression format shall be
2560 x 1920.
5. The camera is compliant with the SMPTE 274M in terms of number
of pixels (1920 x 1080) and 16:9 format.
6. The maximum frame rate at 1280 x 720 resolution shall be 30
frames per second in H.264 (High/Main/ Baseline Profile) and 30
frames per second in JPEG.
7. The maximum frame rate shall be as follows:

8. Frame rate (fps) shall be selected among the follwing ranges:
- 1 to 10 for H.264 (fisheye mode)
- 1 to 13 for JPEG (fisheye mode)
- 1 to 30 for H.264 and JPEG (1080p mode)
9. The camera shall have variable bit rate (VBR) or constant bit rate
(CBR) encoding format selectable to correspond with various
network conditions.
When VBR is selected, image quality level shall be always
maintained. The bit rate shall be variable by a scene.
When CBR is selected, the storage capacity shall be calculated
easily. The bit rate shall be always constant.
10. Bit rate (Kbps) shall be selected among the range of 20 Kbps to 16
Mbps.
11. The camera shall be capable of image cropping in 1920 x 1080
resolution.
12. The camera shall be capable of electronic pan/tilt/zoom or e-PTZ
during e-PTZ mode.
The camera shall also be capable of presetting e-PTZ positions
and tours.
13. The camera shall be capable of limiting the bandwidth from 4 kbps
to 16 Mbps in H.264 (High/Main/Baseline Profile) and JPEG.
14. JPEG compression levels shall be user selectable in 10 levels of
compression ratios, based on an image of 24 bits per picture
element (8 bits each for YUV).
15. Constant bit rate algorithm for JPEG data:
The camera shall be capable of equalizing JPEG data sizes to
have stable bandwidth utilization. Data size for each compression
level is as follows:

16. Actual frame rate in JPEG shall be shown in the following table:
17. The camera shall have the capability of simultaneously encoding
up to 3 of the following compression formats in any combination,
including multiple streams of the same format: JPEG and H.264
(High/Main/Baseline Profile).
For example, the 1st streaming shall be used for the live
monitoring, the 2nd streaming shall be used for recording to the
storage, and the 3rd streaming shall be used for the mobile
monitoring with the smartphone viewer.

18. The camera shall be capable of supporting up to 10 users
simultaneously over the network.
19. The camera shall have up to 2 user level settings, Administrator
and View.
The Administrator shall have complete access/control of the
cameras.
The View can be set to limit user privileges to operation for the
viewer screen only.

E. INTELLIGENT VIDEO ANALYTICS:
1. The camera shall incorporate a built-in Intelligent Motion Detection
(IMD) capability which responds to moving objects in the camera
image and triggers an alarm.
Not only the sensitivity for detecting the moving objects but also
the percentage (area ratio) which is detected the moving objects
against the whole screen shall be set. The motion detection is the
threshold value for triggering the event.
The camera shall also have 3 profiles of motion detection setting
among Day, Night, and Timer.
2. The camera shall have a camera tampering detection function that
alerts the operator if the camera is tampered with. Tampering can
include spraying of the camera lens, covering it with a cloth, or
changing of the mounting direction.

F. AUDIO:
1. The camera shall support the following audio compression formats:
- G.711 (bit rate: 64 kbps, sampling frequency: 8 kHz)
- AAC (bit rate: 64 kbps, sampling frequency: 32 kHz)
- AAC (bit rate: 128 kbps, sampling frequency: 44.1 kHz)
The camera shall support bidirectional audio streaming using
G.711 between the camera and the PC, also support one-way
audio streaming using AAC from the camera to the PC.
2. The user shall have the ability to activate the built-in microphone
(or external microphone) and speaker connected to the camera via
the web interface while adjusting the volume of microphone and
speaker.

G. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS & NETWORK:
1. The supported operating systems shall be Microsoft Windows 8.1
Pro 32 bit and 64 bit, Microsoft Windows 8 Pro 32 bit and 64 bit,
Microsoft Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit (Ultimate/Professional),
Microsoft Windows Vista 32 bit (Ultimate/Business), and Microsoft
Windows XP 32 bit (Professional).
2. Minimum PC requirements shall be the Intel Core i7, 2.8 GHz or
higher, with 2 GB RAM or more supporting the ONVIF JPEG
streaming's maximum 1600 x 1200 resolution, 24-bit True Color
display capability with Ethernet 100Base-TX.
3. The camera shall incorporate a built-in web server, such that the
standard web browser Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer
(version 8.0, 9.0 or 10.0 recommended) can be used to access the
camera without need for special viewer software.
4. The camera shall support ActiveX viewer which allows the camera
image to be viewed in Internet Explorer.
The ActiveX viewer allows for recording of video and audio directly
to the PC’s hard drive, and supports direct audio from the PC mic
to the camera.
5. The camera shall be capable of generating HTML code for the
video image, allowing for easy web page integration.
6. The camera shall support the following network protocols:
IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, ARP, ICMP, IGMP*, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL,
SMTP, DHCP, DNS, NTP, RTP/RTCP, RTSP over TCP, RTSP
over HTTP, and SNMP (v1, v2c, v3).
Network security shall be via password (basic authentication) and
IP filtering.
*Source-Specific Multicast (SSM) shall be supported.
7. The camera shall have the capability to stream H.264
(High/Main/Baseline Profile) video in TCP protocol or H.264
(High/Main/Baseline Profile) video in UDP* (unicast/multicast)
protocol.

8. The camera shall be capable of dynamic IP address change
notification. It shall accomplish this via an email to a specified
address or by HTTP when its IP address changes.
9. The camera shall support HTTPS client authentication.

10. The camera shall have an email (SMTP) notification capability.
11. The camera shall support POP3 authentication for SMTP
transmission.
12. The camera shall support RTSP protocol based upon RFC 2326
and shall support the following options: DESCRIBE, SETUP, PLAY,
TEARDOWN, and GET_PARAMETER.
13. The camera shall support QoS technology using Differentiated
Services Code Point (DSCP).
14. The camera shall support IP Filtering, whereby access to the
camera can be restricted to one or more groups of selected users.
Up to 10 different groups can be established by defining an IP
address range for each group.
15. The camera shall support IEEE 802.1X authentication, and shall:
- comply with the IEEE 802.1X standards,
- be capable of being integrated into an IEEE 802.1X network to
achieve high network security,
- support EAP-TLS mode to use a key pair from a Certificate
Authority (CA),
- support PEAP mode.
16. The camera shall have user configurable port settings.
17. The camera shall provide supplied applications with the camera as
a standard accessory in the CD-ROM.
The SNC easy IP setup Guide application shall provide the initial
networking setting and Windows firewall configuration.
18. The camera shall provide SNC toolbox utility software via the
designated website.

H. INETERFACES:
1. The camera shall have mini jack connectors to support external
microphone and active speakers.
External microphone input shall be monaural, 2.2 kilo ohms, DC
2.5 V plug-in-power. Audio line output shall be also monaural
which has a maximum output level of 1 Vrms.
2. The camera shall have a built-in microphone.
3. The camera shall have an RJ-45 socket on the rear of the camera.
4. The network interface shall be via an 8-pin RJ-45 connector,
10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet.
Both IPv6 and IPv4 are supported.
5. The camera shall have a 4-pin I/O interface located on the rear of
the camera.
There shall be an alarm input port, and an alarm/relay output port.
The alarm input port shall be opto-isolated.
6. The camera shall provide a sensor input port for interfacing with
external equipment.
The sensor input shall be configurable for either ‘make contact’ or
‘break contact’ configuration.
7. A relay output shall be rated at DC 24 V, 0.5 A.
8. The camera shall have a built-in micro SD card slot for an on-board
recording capability for movies and still pictures.
Micro SDHC cards up to 32 GB shall be available.
Micro SDXC card shall not be supported.

I. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:
1. The camera input power shall be a power voltage of IIEEE 802.3af
compliant (PoE system), DC 12 V ± 10%.
To connect a DC 12 V power supply system, the following DC plug
shall be used.
DC plug: PL03B: Straight, center positive, outer diameter 5.5 mm,
inner diameter 2.1 mm
2. Power consumption for the camera shall be 6.0 W maximum.
3. The camera operating temperature shall be within the following
range:
-22 ˚F to +122 ˚F (-30 ˚C to +50 ˚C)
Cold start temperature must be greater than -4 ˚F (-20 ˚C).
4. The camera storage temperature shall be within the following
range:
-13 ˚F to +140 ˚F (-25 ˚C to +60 ˚C)
5. The camera operating humidity shall be within the range of 20 % to
90 % (non-condensing).
6. The camera storage humidity shall be within the range of 20 % to
95 % (non-condensing).
7. The camera dimensions (Dia. x H) shall be approximately:
5 3/4 inches x 2 1/4 inches (145 mm x 54 mm) (without mounting
plate)
5 7/8 inches x 2 7/8 inches (147 mm x 70 mm) (with mounting
plate).
8. The camera shall weigh approximately
1 lb 7 oz (640 g) (without mounting plate)
1 lb 9 oz (716 g) (with mounting plate).
