Trinity-Clifton United Church Christmas Gifts Project 2015: Each December, Trinity provides a Christmas remembrance to people in senior or care facilities or living in their own home. This year 88 individuals or couples received either a gift bag with 2 bottles of jam or a small poinsettia plant. The jam came from batches made at Trinity during the summer/fall and the poinsettias were purchased through Hearts and Flowers. A Christmas card signed by Rev. Greg Davis was included with each. There were 31 flowers and 57 packages with jam. Deliveries were made to 20 seniors in nursing and community care facilities and 34 in private homes. These were made by 11 individuals, couples and a mother-daughter duo, 17 people in all. In addition, Rev. Greg Davis made deliveries to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Rehab Unit of the Prince Edward Home. Those who received the jam or flower were truly appreciative. It is a worthwhile project and should be continued. Don and Florence Wonnacott deserve both credit and thanks for their continued work on, and support of, this project.
