1. You need to know how many chromosomes are found within a cell at any give
phase of mitosis or meiosis. Example: if a cell starts with 60 chromosomes how
many will it have during anaphase if it is undergoing mitosis.
2. Know how and when spindle fibers are formed and where they attach
3. You need to know what happens in all four phases of mitosis and all phases of
meiosis
4. Know what phases of mitosis and meiosis contribute to genetic variation
5. Know how things such as crossing over etc. contribute to genetic variation
6. Know what centromeres and chromatids are
7. Know what the cell cycle is and what occurs in each stage of the cell cycle
8. Know how the cell cycle is regulated
9. Know what a cell plate is and how and why it is formed
10. Know what organisms reproduce sexually and which reproduce asexually
11. Know when chromosomes become visable
12. Know what a somatic cell is and how they are formed
13. Know what the genome is, and know what genes are
