pathways for nursing career.
1) Develop a College-Ready
Certificate for CNAs 2) Offer a
Test of Essential Academic Skills
(TEAS) Prep Study Course 3)
Develop a “Curriculum Record
of Completion” (ROC) that
recognizes participants
completion of college courses
that count toward a health care
certificate or degree. Work to
have this ROC recognized by
local employers. 4) Develop an
articulation agreement between
the McCann LPN Program and
Berkshire Community College
A.D.N. 5) Develop a post-LPN
Clinical Internship with potential
for college-credit and develop
and offer a post-LPN
certification in Long-Term Care.

3.Provide Career and academic
case management and job
placement for graduates of the
funded programs.
4. Develop a collaborative
regional healthcare workforce
planning work group. The group
will establish infrastructure,
priorities for the grant period
and beyond.

The Brockton Area Workforce
Investment Board will co-enroll
unemployed and employed
participants in Insurance
Billing/Coding Specialist
Certificate courses and PreAllied Health courses. All
courses will articulate to higher
level allied health degrees.
After the initial Billing/Coding
courses are completed,
participants will receive job
placement support.
Existing C.N.A. course will be
enhanced with additional
content and expanded
curriculum base don employer
input.
Participants will be enrolled in
the newly Enhanced C.N.A
course.
Participants will be enrolled in
Medical Assistant , Phlebotomy,
and other Healthcare Certificate
programs and receive job
placement after completion.
Bristol CC will develop or revise
Medical Assisting courses to
insure they articulate with the
existing Clinical Lab Technician
Associate Degree at Bristol CC.
