FAQs: Who can attend this conference? This conference is open to all members of South-Central-Gulf Texas HERC and all potential members. What is HERC and why would I want to learn more? HERC is a non-profit association of colleges and universities that collaborate to address issues surrounding the recruitment and retention of highly qualified faculty, staff, administrative, and executive personnel. We are particularly interested in assisting dual-career couples and diversifying applicant pools at our institutions. By collaborating, we are able to save costs and improve results. What does it cost to be a HERC member? The cost is less than a typical advertising contract. Our pricing structure is tied to the number of member institutions and the size of each participating institution. We want HERC to be affordable to everyone! Detailed information will be available at the event and can also be requested anytime via email to Ann Pino at apino@uh.edu Is there a registration fee for the Spring Mini-Conference? This is a free event for members, potential members and friends of HERC. I want to attend, but my higher-ups aren’t interested in joining HERC at this time. That’s okay. Come anyway and enjoy the lunch and presentations as our friend. I forgot to RSVP! Can I come anyway? Of course! The RSVP date of November 1 is for planning food, room setup, and other event details, but you will be welcome even if you show up unannounced. I would like to attend but need special accommodations or have a question not addressed here. Who do I contact? Please direct questions to Carla Martinez at cmartinez24@uh.edu or Ann Pino at apino@uh.edu
