Faculty member agreement If selected to teach this program, I agree to: a) actively recruit students to participate in the program during the fall and spring semester prior to the program; b) read, and carry out the responsibilities described in, the " Responsibilities of Faculty and Staff Representing the University of Texas at Austin on Study Abroad Programs"; c) attend the training workshop for faculty program leaders; d) administer the paper Course Instructor Survey prior to the conclusion of the program and strongly encourage students to complete the Study Abroad Office on-line program evaluation. I understand that these evaluations will be circulated to SAO staff and my Department Chair. e) submit grades for each student at the end of the program, by the stipulated deadline; f) submit an evaluative report of the program within 45 days of program completion; and g) submit all receipts and any remaining funds to Business Services in the International Office within 30 days of completion of the program. Endorsement of Dean and Department Chair The costs of travel (both international and program-related local), international medical insurance, accommodations, nominal stipend, use of a cell phone, and other program activities for the faculty program director will be included in the fee paid by student participants. Participating UT faculty members will be paid a stipend equivalent to that of a normal six-week summer session course for teaching a Maymester Abroad program; faculty receive summer salary for Summer Session Abroad programs. If selected for Provost’s funding, ½ of the salary will be provided with the remainder to be provided from the departmental budget.
