Display them in a collage form on an 9x12 piece of construction paper. On your collage, you should also include a title, the amendment number, the text directly from the constitution, and the amendment written in your own words. (Hint: if you choose an amendment with multiple rights that are protected, choose ONE right to focus on. For example, if you choose the first amendment, choose ONLY freedom of speech.) Part 2: Writing 1. News Article: Find a news article that relates to the amendment you chose – must be published within the last year. 2. Reflection: You will need to write an 8th grade level** reflection answering the following questions: 1. Summarize the article 2. How does the article relate to the amendment you chose? 3. How does this amendment and article relate to you and your life? You can include how this amendment affects you now and also how you think it might affect you in the future. 3.
