1 Scope of Services
The Office of the Chief Technology Officer/ CWITS
seeks a vendor to provide ongoing support and
hardware maintenance of the deployment of the Palo
Alto Networks UTM Devices. CWITS has an immediate
need to renew maintenance/support and subscriptions
to provide continued end user protection at the
gateway level. The Palo Alto devices provide content
filtering, Anti-Virus Gateway and user monitoring of
network activity.
1.1 Background
The continued support/maintenance and subscription
renewal will allow OCTO/CWITS to continue to provide
enterprise level security and internet filtering.
Renewing the support contract will allow us to continue
to provide the following: o Internet content filtering o
Customized internet filtering policies o Anti-virus
Gateway o Intrusion Prevention Services o Logging of
network user activity o Application control (preventing
certain applications from working)
2 Supplies/Services and Pricing
2.1 Delivery and Performance Period
Equipment is to be shipped in its entirety to The Office
of the Chief Technology Officer in the original

manufacturer packaging. Equipment (License keys /
support) is to be shipped electronically in its entirety to
bill.machen@dc.gov , with a hard copy confirmation
shipped to the following address and contact person:

DC 20001 Attn: Bill Machen. The Office of the Chief
Technology Officer will not accept any re-furbished
hardware for original hardware purchases. No
substitution of hardware manufacturer, model, or type
will be accepted. Performance period is from date of
award through September 30, 2013.
