COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
There will be two one-hour tests (the first covering the number
of chapters discussed in class up to September 27 -- hopefully,
chapter 7; the second covering the remaining microeconomics
chapters discussed by November 8; and a final exam (covering
all remaining chapters discussed). Regular class attendance is
required. Reading and study of the text is required; some
information, on which you will be tested, will only be provided in
class notes. I-clicker will be used to complete one or more extracredit activities. MYECONLAB is recommended as a tutorial aid.
and may be used for one or more extra-credit assignments.
There will be quizzes given during many of the class sessions.
Material covered in each quiz will typically be what had been
discussed in the previous class session. On some occasions,
quizzes will be based on material discussed in the current and
within the last two sessions. The Wall Street Journal articles
related to material covered in the most recent prior sessions
may also be a topic for quiz questions.
No make-ups will be offered for missed quizzes. Poor
attendance will result in grade reductions. Your attendance will
be reflected as a participation grade (primarily be based on the
percentage of quizzes you take for the number of quizzes given.)
