CAPE CANAERAL CHAPTER OF NCMA
WORKSHOPS
On January 20, 1982, the Cape Canaveral Chapter held it’s first workshop. Thereafter, the Chapter
continued to have workshops prior to the Monthly Dinner Meetings. Often the Workshop conductor was
the same person who was the guest speaker at the dinner meeting. The workshops were training
sessions on topics of current interest and also workshops for preparation of the CPCM and CACM
examinations. This listing is only as complete as the availability of Chapter Newsletters and meeting
minutes in the Chapter Historical Files.

June 10, 2000 - Cocoa Beach Hilton - This workshop reviewed the important Government contracts
developments over the last year from three different viewpoints:
Gene Cavallucci of Harris Corporation presented the industry perspective, Marty McAlwee, attorney
advisor for Patrick Air Force Base will present the government perspective and Ed Kinberg presented the
private bar perspective.
Each speaker had approximately 15 minutes to give their highlights of the year and 15 minutes were
available for questions at the end of the program.

NOTE: For the 2008-2009 Program Year, in response to member survey results, the board decided to
