Design, configuration, implementation and support of CheckPoint VPN-1/Firewall-1 based LAN, WAN

Design and upgrade of Netware 5.2 to Netware 6.0, complete redesign of NDS and implementation of
Novell Cluster Services.

Integration of subsidiary Rail company’s 2Mbps Btnet equIP IP/VPN cloud and a 2Mbps Global
Crossing IP/IPX Frame Relay WAN cloud into the parent company’s dual 34Mbps Btnet equIP IP/VPN
clouds. Networks to be integrated following IP/VPN MPLS implementation.
Design and development of a hierarchical layer 3 core/distribution Gigabit Ethernet switching design for
an acquired company. HP [Dual 5372 resilient gigabit switching] and Cisco [Catalyst 6509 & Dual 355012G resilient gigabit switching] options designed and implemented.
Design and development of an interactive hyperlinked Visio database for all core/fabric devices,
providing visibility of the corporate backbone networking infrastructure.
Integration of subsidiary FM company’s network infrastructure into the parent company’s corporate
network infrastructure. Networks to be integrated following IP/VPN MPLS implementation.
Utility Organisations
Feasibility and technical consulting for eBusiness CRM packages. Prime CRM package evaluated was
Pivotal’s eRelationship2 software, comprising Pivotal IntraHub, CustomerHub & PartnetHub.
Piloting, prototyping and implementation of a thin-client network deploying Microsoft Terminal Server
and Citrix MetaFrame 1.8. Load balance server farm established providing local/remote ICA client
access to 32bit Windows desktops and applications.
Migration of Windows NT PDC/BDC to Windows 2000 Advanced Server and the implementation of
Windows 2000 ADS cluster servers utilising proprietary NAS/SAN technology.
Project Management for the Implementation and support of an Oracle-based eBusiness ‘StreetWorks’
management system within major utility companies and local authorities.
Design, implementation and support of LAN hierarchical network design models including TCPIP/IPX/AppleTalk/Token Ring switched architectures. Implementation of switched and routed networks
including Ethernet VLANs, Token Ring, SNA, and ATM ELANs via both distributed and collapsed
campus FDDI/Gigabit Ethernet backbones. Deployment of RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP routing
