A Brief History of the 49th The club started in 1945 as the 49th Warwicks Home Guard Old Comrades Association shooting on Military ranges and .22 rifle at Thorpe Street Range. The club has developed over the years bringing about a change of name and move to it’s present home and own range, Norton Baths, Saltley. The club took over the lease on the building, originally a public washing baths, about 30 years ago. The work converting the building to heated clubroom and two ranges was carried out by members. Over the years the club’s names has been carried into Europe, USA and even Russia by members as part of Great Britain teams and club teams. The trophy wall bears testimony to this. What Happens? Your application is put before the committee, if they are satisfied with the reference’s you are accepted as a full member. Can I Get Instruction/Coaching?
