Please refer to your menu pages in your notebook to completely understand the requirements for each item listed below. Checkmark the blank to the left of the items you are choosing to complete. *Remember to explain where your biome is located. For example if you choose to create an acrostic poem for the desert biome, your food web would depend on if you were researching the Gobi Desert (cold) versus the Sahara Desert (hot). * Extra credit is possible after you have earned the initial 100 points. 10 POINT MENU ITEMS ______ Create an acrostic poem from your biome. It should include information about that biomes food web. ______ Create a collage of pictures and words that represent your biome. Include a sentence for each item that explains how it is related to your ecosystem. ______ Create a set of trading cards for your biome that includes examples of the plants and animals found in your biome. ______ Design a diorama for your biome that includes more than one food chain. ______ Create Three Facts and a Fib about your biome with one picture that represents your biome. ______ Write a song/ rap about your biome. Include information about the climate (temperature / precipitation), plants and animals. ______ Make a crossword puzzle (computer generated or on graph paper) about your ecosystem. ______ Make a mobile that represents plant, animal life in your biome. Use pictures and words describing them on each mobile piece. 10 POINT MENU ITEMS (CONT’D) ______ Create a cube about the adaptations your plants and animals have made to live in your biome. ______ Make concentration cards teaching someone about your biome’s characteristics (plants, animals, precipitation, temperature). 25 POINT MENU ITEMS ______ Design a foldable using words, phrases and pictures that explains the climate (temperature and precipitation), plant and animal life in your biome. ______ Create trading cards with pictures of various plants and animals from all over the world. The facts on the card should describe that plant or animal’s native biome (climate, location and food chain). 50 POINT MENU ITEMS ______ Make a travel brochure that would encourage people to visit three biomes. Your brochure should include not only general information about those biomes but what is special about them so it worth the trip. Let the traveler know what to pack and what there is to do in all three of the biomes. ______ Make a biome board game in which players move through a biome encountering both biotic and abiotic factors and examples of symbiosis and predator/ prey relationships within that biome. _______ TOTAL POINTS
