We’re seeking an Associate Marketing Database Analyst to support the Marketing Department in the areas of Database Analysis, Program Results Interpretation, Marketing Strategies, and Market Research. Some of the specific responsibilities of this position include: Conduct catalog and email circulation reporting. Assist in the design of campaign reporting based on business objectives, campaign design and testing methodology. Use SQL as well as other reporting tools to code, retrieve, and assemble data from multiple databases and provide analysis, including trends, anomalies, testing results, key insights, and written actionable recommendations. Perform custom analysis, reporting, and multiple ad hoc queries. Leverage the marketing database to improve efficiency and effectiveness of customer acquisition and retention programs through segmentation, profiling, and modeling. Work with the circulation team (catalog and e-mail) to develop reports that meet specific circulation needs. Responsible for monitoring the timely collection of data from multiple sources and assisting with determining information requirement, including proper labeling and definition of inputs. Requirements: Direct Marketing professional with 2+ years of experience in marketing database systems. Catalog experience helpful. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Economics, or related. Proficiency in Excel and writing SQL. Knowledge of relational database concepts and skills. Experience using SAS, MS Access, Affinium, Web Focus, or any similar reporting tool is a plus. Experience in segmentation, query and reporting tools. Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills. Experience with marketing analytics with an understanding and application of statistical measures and concepts. Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and interpersonal skills in a team setting. Write clear, effective reports and analysis. Basic understanding of math and finance for application in queries and direct marketing analysis. Strong multi-tasking skills, must be able to balance multiple analytical projects. Knowledge of statistical modeling a plus.
