The Woodside Hotel. Please find enclosed as requested a copy of our wedding literature and also our sample menus for 2015.

The manager will be very pleased to discuss any requirements and answer all your questions without any obligation on your part and take you through all the processes involved.

You can make an appointment to speak in person or over the telephone or if you prefer through email. In order to give you time an appointment is essential.

Please give your details to reception or by email so that we can reply as quickly as possible.

Weddings at The Woodside Hotel

Ceremony at The Woodside Hotel

If you wish to hold your wedding ceremony at the hotel we have one room available for your ceremony.

Our Clipper Lounge bar with its stained glass ceiling can accommodate up to a maximum of 40 guests including the bride and groom at a charge of

£350.00

Please note you will have to apply for your own licence

The Wedding Meal

For the wedding meal The Clipper Lounge can accommodate up to 30 persons this will incur a room hire charge of £300.00.

A combined rate for ceremony and meal may be given at the sole discretion of the manager

The Woodside Function Room can accommodate up to 80 persons.

The evening reception

The maximum amount of persons we can accommodate is 150.

Accommodation

Initially we can offer eight rooms and the family room.

Please note most of these rooms are situated above the function room and are offered at the discounted rate .We also offer a very good two night package.

Our rooms are available strictly from 2pm

All rooms require a deposit to secure them. This may be done at time of booking by the Bridal Party or will be kept as provisional bookings until 6 weeks before your function when they will be removed from the system

Further rooms may be available up to a maximum of 15 rooms.

These extra rooms are only available at the two night package rate or full rate if only for one night and are subject to availability

Our Wedding Package

As this is the most important day of your life, we will ensure your day is tailored to your individual requirements. From the moment you step through our doors you will be looked after every step of the way up and during your special day.

Your Wedding package will include:

Three course meal from options available

A personal welcome from a member of our Management Team

Function room for wedding meal & evening reception if required

Tables, dressed in white linen and napkins, white bud vases

If required one of our Managers will act as Master of Ceremonies

Use of our cake stand and knife

 Reduced Price Meals for the under 12’s or children’s menu

Special Dietary Requirements catered for (advance notice)

Functions finish at 12 midnight with bar closing at 12 midnight.

The Rennie Suite complimentary for the Bridal Couple on the night of your wedding with full Breakfast the following morning ,minimum numbers 40 adult guests for full wedding meal or if numbers are less than 40 then a double room can be offered free of charge or the suite discounted by30%

PLEASE NOTE THE SUITE IS AVAILABLE FROM 2PM ON THE DAY

OF WEDDING. If the suite is required from 12 noon then there is a charge of £25.00.This includes fresh towels & toiletries for later. Children are not permitted to sleep in the suite.

Accommodation

Special rates are offered to guests attending the Wedding Reception so that they can enjoy the special event even more. No need to worry about travelling home, just fall into freshly laundered sheets at the end of the evening and awake refreshed for a full Scottish Breakfast.

Or why not turn your stay into a mini break? Spare yourself running around, just relax and enjoy a superb meal in our Restaurant the night before. In the morning you will be able to have a relaxed breakfast and then take your time getting ready for the Ceremony and Reception or explore the surrounding area.

Evening Buffet Menus for Wedding Package

There is a wide variety of choice for our evening buffets. Vegetarian buffets are also available.

Please note that these buffet prices are for evening buffets as a PART of the

TOTAL wedding package.

All guests attending evening receptions must be catered for.

Buffets are normally served no later than 9.00pm

If you find there is nothing suitable and you wish to offer your guests something different we will be pleased to discuss & cost alternatives. Decision on this made after discussion with chef .Minimum price for evening buffets is £4.50 p.p

Tea & coffee for your guests is charged at £1.50 p.p

N.B (we offer a minimum of 30 cups and are unable to serve to individuals throughout the evening)

Terms and Conditions PLEASE READ THESE VERY CAREFULLY

1. Bookings a) Provisional bookings will be held for up to 21 days.

We have the right to cancel unconfirmed bookings.

b) A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of £400.00* is required to confirm your booking. This will be held as a first deposit and will be deducted from your final account.

A wedding reception booking form is also required at this stage.

* This may vary according to numbers.

2. Prices a) All rates include VAT at the current rate.

b) PRICES quoted for FOOD and DRINK are subject to VARIATION up to 56 days prior to your wedding reception.

All increases in Duty apply immediately. The hotel will inform you of any increase prior to your wedding reception in writing.

3. Availability a) All rooms, Facilities and Rates offered by the hotel are

Subject to availability at the time of booking and the

Discretion of the Hotel management. For bookings taken more than 12 months in advance no room rates can be given.

b) All accommodation must have a deposit of £50.00 to confirm, refunded if

cancelled more than 7 days prior to the wedding

4. Final Numbers a), We will arrange to meet with you to discuss FINAL NUMBERS and details no later than 21 DAYS prior to your Wedding. Your FINAL

WEDDING ACCOUNT WILL BE CALCULATED USING THE NUMBER

OF GUESTS GIVEN AT OUR MEETING UNLESS THE NUMBER OF

GUESTS ATTENDING ON THE DAY IS GREATER. Your FINAL TABLE

PLAN must be with us

NO LATER than 10 DAYS prior to your Wedding Reception

5. Payment a) 50% of the estimated FINAL ACCOUNT is due to be paid

SIX WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR WEDDING.

b) THE FINAL BALANCE IS DUE TO BE PAID ON THE

MORNING AFTER YOUR WEDDING.

HOWEVER IF NO EVENING FUNCTION IS BEING HELD

OR THE BRIDE AND GROOM ARE NOT STAYING IN THE

HOTEL THE ACCOUNT MUST BE SETTLED BEFORE DEPARTURE.

6. Cancellations & Postponement:

a) Cancellation or Postponement must be in writing and will result in the charges below becoming due. In each case, the percentage charged is based on the advance notice of cancellation given and applies to the ESTIMATED total cost of the booking.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE OUT INSURANCE AGAINST CANCELLATION

In excess of 12 weeks prior to the event the non-refundable deposit is retained by the hotel.

Between 12 weeks and 28 Days

Within 28 Days of the event

50% of the ESTIMATED costing is to be paid

100% of the ESTIMATED costing is to be paid

7 Miscellaneous

You are responsible for the conduct of guests / bands attending your function and you must ensure that nothing is done which would constitute a breach of law or in any way cause a nuisance or be an infringement of or render possible forfeiture or endorsement of any licence for the sale of alcohol or for music & dancing.

Children must be under the supervision of adults at all times and are NOT allowed in the bedrooms or on the decking outside without an adult.

Any damage done to the hotel’s fixtures and fittings by guests attending your function will be payable by you. Disruptive guests will be required to leave the hotel. In extreme cases of misbehaviour, we reserve the right

(without any liability to you) to stop a function and require all guests to leave.

No wines, spirits or other beverages or food may be brought into the hotel for consumption without our prior approval; no portable fridges are permitted in bedrooms.

The hotel does not permit corkage.

Functions are required to finish at the time agreed when the booking was made. Any extension to such times is in our sole discretion and charges may be levied.

Functions are required to indemnify us against all costs, charges, claims, expenses demands & liabilities incurred by, or made against us as a result of the negligence or wilful default of you or your guests.

8 Items left at the Hotel:

We will assist you so far as possible with the storage of your equipment for the function but cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to such equipment whilst at the hotel. Any such items must be removed from the

Hotel within 24 hours of the end of the function
