AT VILLA DE NOBILI
The Location
Located on a hilly area in the inland of the beautiful Gulf of La Spezia which spans from Lerici (10 km away) to
the Cinque Terre (the village of Riomaggiore is 20 km away), the Holiday Farm “Il Giardino” is included within a
7-hectare property planted with olive trees and vineyard, just 1 km from the old town of Vezzano Ligure.
A delicious extra virgin olive oil and grapes used to produce an origin controlled name wine, the "Colli di Luni"
D.O.C. Vermentino, come from there.
The property consists of a small settlement around an eighteenth-century manor house with late nineteenthcentury decorations, a charming chapel finely decorated with frescoes by Lila De Nobili, an ancient olive-press,
outbuildings and farmhouses of the late seventeenth century - where the four apartments are located.
The apartments are sized to retain much of the building original structure and are furnished with simple yet
elegant furniture. The cottages match the typical colors of the rural houses in Liguria.
Definitely a calm, peaceful, secluded place. To get there, you should go along the provincial road which climbs to
the village of Vezzano Ligure, then enter a narrow country lane (via del Giardino) bordered with typical stone
walls – which will naturally make you to drive cautiously.
How to Find Us
Highway A12 (Genova-Rosignano M.), exit at La Spezia tollgate, junction to La Spezia, Vezzano Ligure exit,
follow the signpost to Vezzano Ligure.
After climbing for about 2 kms, take a small country lane on the left side (via del Giardino), then drive approx 100
meters following the directions to the farm. Please remember that this is a quite narrow lane where only vehicles
which do not exceed 2.10m in width are admitted.

The Apartments
There are four apartments, each called after the name of a typical vine.
Vermentino Apartment, including:
On the ground floor: 1 double room,1 bathroom, 1 large kitchen.
On the first floor: 2 triple rooms, 1 double room, 1 bathroom.
Merla Apartment, including:
On the ground floor: 1 kitchen, 1 living room.
On the first floor: 1 double room, 1 triple room, 1 bathroom.
Malvasia Apartment, including:
On the first floor: 2 double rooms and 1 bathroom.
On the ground floor: 1 kitchen and 1 entrance.
Albarola Apartment, including:
1 double room, 1 single room, kitchen and bathroom.
Each apartment has available a private space outside.
Opening Times
The Holiday Farm is open from the beginning of May to the end of September.
Only the Vermentino Apartment is available in winter time.
Arrival & Departure
Check-in time from 3pm until 8pm. Please ensure you contact us by telephone or email to let us know if you will
be arriving earlier or late, and your estimated time of arrival.
Upon arrival, please show us the confirmation email stating the period and type of accommodation booked and
the down payment you have made.
The full balance of your stay is payable in cash (if lower than € 1,000) or by bank transfer. Full payment to be
made within three days of stay. Sorry, we are currently unable to accept credit cards.
Upon arrival, we’ll deliver you a privacy form whereby you’ll authorize us to process your personal details and to
use them pursuant to the law (reporting your personal details to the local security authorities) or to keep you
updated about our future projects.
Please vacate your Apartment by 10am on the day of departure.
Arrangements
Hot water, 220V power supply (with safety systems), and cooking gas (LPG cylinder) are available in all
apartments.
The Vermentino apartments is equipped with a wood heating system; the Malvasia and the Albarola apartments
have a gas boiler; the Merla has no heating plant, except for a fireplace.
To be tuned in to a choice of relax and silence, there are no TVs.
We are taking steps to install a WiFi system.
Services
The laundry is located inside a common space. It can be used from 9am until 1pm (except on Saturday morning)
and from 4pm until 8pm. Guests are kindly requested to use the biologic detergent available in the laundry.
The car park is located in the forecourt of the main cottage. As there are limited car parking spaces, please follow
the parking directions in order to enable all Guests to park comfortably!
A barbecue and an oven are available to Guests. Please book them in advance. Firewood is available on a free
basis. Instead, charcoal should be purchased directly by Guests.
Table tennis and kid games are available.
The small Chapel is a quiet setting where Guests can spend a few moments in a time of silence or prayer, should
they so desire.
Swimming Pool
A 10m x 5m swimming pool, 120cm deep, is available within the property. Pursuant to local environmental
constraints, it is an above-ground pool.
Even if not for public use, the swimming pool can be used by Guests.
Opening times: from 10am to 12.30pm; from 2.30pm to 7pm.
Please note that the swimming pool is unguarded, and children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an
adult supervisor at all times.
Due to the insufficient depth of water, diving or jumping is strictly prohibited.
In general, allow 3 hours before you swim, following a full meal to allow for digestion.
After using the pool, please rise the safety ladder to prevent unwanted access. Guests are kindly requested to
take a shower at home before entering the water in the pool and also to rinse their feet in the dedicated basin
before getting into the pool.
Things to Know...
Sorry, pets are not allowed.
In spite of the security and low-crime rates in the area, Guests should lock the entrance door throughout their
stay. Owners will not be held liable for any loss that might occur.
Theatrical and/or musical events are performed in July and August. Guests are most welcomed!
“Il Giardino” is a working farm chiefly committed to produce oil and wine, therefore, works are in progress mainly
in spring and summer.
We’ll do our best not to intrude on your living, anyway please pay attention to farmer vehicles or machinery
(especially when there are kids around).
Perhaps you’ll like knowing more about our farming methods or the plants in the farm. Just ask us! We’ll be
happy to accompany you across the farm or even go through a beautiful trekking trail we are currently creating in
cooperation with the Montemarcello-Magra Park’s managers.
What to Do...
From iconic attractions to spectacular landscapes... there are lots of different things to do!

First of all, take your time to explore the old town of Vezzano Ligure. There you’ll discover many
surprising things!

Visit the Cinque Terre National Park, a UNESCO world-heritage site, to discover the world-renowned
“five lands” including Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. You can easily
reach them by train or through a regular boat service.

Visit the Montemarcello-Magra Regional Park and the Apuan Alps Natural Park.

Visit the old port towns of Lerici and Portovenere, overlooking each other in the Gulf of Poets.

You can hike the Sentiero Liguria, a long walking path from one end to another of the Ligurian region;
explore the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri (AVML), a long-distance high-level trail covering the full length of
Liguria; or the Alta Via del Golfo (AVG), a high-level trail alongside the Gulf of La Spezia.
Famous art towns are within easy reach, including:
Pisa (70 km); Lucca (70 km); Genoa (90 km); and Parma (100 km)
The town of La Spezia offers you the unique opportunity to discover exclusive museums, including the Technical
Naval Museum, the “Amedeo Lia” Museum, and the Museum at St. George Castle.
Other outstanding museums or places to visit include:

The historic town of Sarzana
Many picturesque villages within the Valley of the River Vara and the Valley of the River Magra

An Environment-Friendly Approach
We are passionate about the environment and invite all our Guests to minimize energy waste and environment
pollution by using electricity, water and disposable products mindfully.
We also invite our Guests to sort their domestic waste and recyclables by using the dedicated waste/garbage
bins or the farm compote.
Relax & Privacy
To ensure all our Guests have a great holiday we expect common sense and consideration to be shown at all
times to other Guests in order to respect their privacy and choice.
Rates & Booking
We require a deposit of 20% of the total cost at the time of booking. Your deposit will be refunded in full only if
cancellation occurs 2 months in advance.
