I. NEED STEP (The Problem)
A. Choose two to three reasons why topic is a problem. These are
called Assertions.
B. Support assertions with evidence- logos (statistics, facts), pathos
(stories, examples), and ethos (quotes, expert testimony).
II. SATISFACTION (The Solution)
A. On a large scale, what can be done to solve the problem?
B. Use examples of programs, legislation, petitions, etc. from other
cities, states, or countries that have been used to solve the same
problem.
III. VISUALIZATION (The Benefits of the Solution)
A. If solution is implemented, how will it benefit society?
B. Find real life examples of people who have benefitted from
solution to paint a picture for your audience.
