The goal of this class is to help business students learn how to use and manage information
technologies to revitalize processes, improve business decision making, and gain
competitive advantage. It will cover foundation concepts, information technologies,
business applications, development processes, and management challenges.

 Present and overview of the five basic areas of information systems knowledge
needed by business professionals
 Introduce fundamental concepts of competitive advantage through information
technology
 Describe how information systems integrate and support enterprise-wide business

important trends and issues in e-commerce
