Environmental Education Team Assembly Speech by 6S KWOK Yim, 4D TAM Ngai Kiu and 4E LAM Ka Po KY: Good morning Principal, teachers and fellow students, 3: We are Winstant Kwok from 6S, Bonita Tam from 4D and Bobo Lam from 4E. Being the Senior Student Environmental Protection Ambassadors this year, we would like to share with you some green issues today. KY: "Every small step taken by each individual to support the clean-air initiatives in our daily lives can help reduce air pollution," Donald Tsang, our Chief Executive said. TNK: The logo, "Clean Air for a Cool Hong Kong!" reminds us that setting our air-conditioners to 25.5 degrees Celsius will save about 1 billion units of electricity each year. LKP: Also, Mr Tsang urges the Hong Kong citizens to dress down in summer. For students in school uniform like us, how to dress down? KY: That’s simple. Take off our woolly jumper before saying it’s too hot. TNK: In fact, it’s not so hot in these days. Can’t you remember the yummy mookcakes we enjoyed two weeks ago? LKB: Yes, of course. By the way, Mid-Autumn Festival is over, a reallycool Hong Kong is coming soon. How about STMGSS? KY: We are cool! Our goal is to reduce electricity consumption in our school year by year. Every class please do consider some measures to save energy - at the same time we are saving money and the environment. TNK: You’re right. The school environment is our another concern. LKP: Every small step taken by each student like cleaning the blackboard after lessons, KY: clearing the desks and floor in the recess, lunch time or after school, TNK: putting bottles, cans and papers into the recycling bins can help keep our school clean. LKP: Can you do it? KY: I can. TNK: Everyone can. 3: Actions speak louder than words. Let’s do it. Start from today. KY: Hoping to see the blue sky? LKP: Be energy-wise. KY: Keeping our school clean, TNK: We are riding high! 3: Thank you.
