All attendees will receive the special rate of €220 Euro (approximately $240 USD) single
occupancy and €239 Euro (approximately $262 USD) double occupancy. Rate includes
daily breakfast and taxes. Be sure to identify yourself as part of the Fourth Transatlantic
Aviation Issues Conference to receive the conference rate. Reservations must be
made by June 14, 2016, and you must provide a credit card to guarantee this rate.
Cancellations made after 48 hours prior to the day of arrival will be assessed a fee of

HOTEL DIRECTIONS: Hotel Amigo stands at the crossroads of the historic Ilot Sacré
area and the antiques district of Le Sablon. We’re a short stroll from the Grand Place,
the hub of European politics and the hip boutiques on Rue Dansaert. Head to the Comic
Book Museum and see murals featuring Hergé’s most famous characters on the city’s
walls. Discover a myriad of restaurants and bars on the hotel’s doorstep. The hotel is
approximately 16 km/10 miles from Brussels National Airport and is a 20-minute drive
to the hotel. Average taxi fare from the airport to the hotel is €45 Euro.
PASSPORT/VISA INFORMATION: U.S. citizens traveling to Belgium must
carry a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond the date they intend to
leave the country. In addition to a valid U.S. passport, U.S. visitors need to present
proof of sufficient funds and a return airline ticket. U.S. citizens do not need a visa to
enter or transit Belgium for a stay up to 90 days. For further information, U.S. citizens

website at www.diplobel.us. Citizens from other nations should check with their local

NOTE: AAAE reserves the right to cancel this program if the number of registrants is insufficient. In this
event, we will notify all registrants and refund the registration fee in full. However, any costs incurred by the
registrant, such as hotel cancellation or airline penalties, are the responsibility of the registrant. Confirmation
letters will be emailed to attendees within two weeks of receipt of registration. If you have not received a
confirmation letter via e-mail two business days prior to the meeting, and you enrolled at least two weeks
prior to the meeting, please contact the AAAE Meetings Department at 703.824.0504. Non-receipt of the
confirmation letter before the meeting is not justification for seeking a refund. If you are a AAAE Academic
Member or U.S. federal government employee, email aaaemeetings@aaae.org for potentially discounted
registration fees.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Registrations and cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellation
requests received before June 10, 2016, are subject to a $175 processing fee and will be processed
after the meeting takes place. There will be no refunds after this date. Substitutions will be accepted
without penalties and no-shows will be billed. For all inquiries regarding cancellations and refunds,
