THE JACKROBERTSHARVEYBAND TONY JACK GRIGSBY MIKE HARVEY JIM ROBERTS JIM ROBERTS - GUITAR & VOCALS Jim was born in Chicago and raised in the Midwest, where at an early age he was exposed to local blues musicians. He began singing at age 13 and one year later took up the guitar. He was introduced to slide guitar at an early age and was captivated by the vocal-like sound of the instrument. It remains a focal point of his playing today. His vocal style is polished and ranges from smooth to powerful. Over the years, he has performed as a solo artist, as well as fronting numerous bands. Jim has written songs for, and performed with, Seals and Crofts and Arista recording artist Danny Deardorff. He has also opened for Danny O’Keefe, Della Reese, and Ricky Nelson, to name a few. Jim has appeared on numerous television shows including The Mike Douglas Show, The Jerry Lewis and the March of Dimes Telethons, as well as regional television shows in the Midwest and West. He has performed in Europe, Japan and the Philippines. MIKE HARVEY - DRUMS Mike Harvey is a seasoned music industry veteran, having started playing the drums and touring as a young teenager in the early 60s. Music has taken Mike to countless cities throughout the past five decades, and has most recently brought him back to Southern California to partner with son-in-law, singer-songwriter/keyboard player Tim Reid, Jr. He owns and operates a new artist friendly recording facility in downtown Santa Ana. From 1972 to 1981, Harvey was a studio musician and producer in Los Angeles, with the following notable credits: • Studio affiliations with, CBS, Warner Brothers, Scotti Brothers and the Welk Music Group, as well as many of the top independent studios in Los Angeles. • Played with “Blues Image” (Ride Captain Ride), “Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds” (Don’t Pull Your Love Out On Me Baby, Baby, Baby Falling In Love), and worked as a contract player with Edwin Star (War, Eye to Eye Contact) “Sam the Sham and the Pharos” (Woolly Bully, Little Red Ridinghood), “the Fraternity of Man” (Don’t Bogart that Joint My Friend, from the movie Easy Rider) and more. • Played drums on the Movie Soundtrack to “Cruising” with Al Pacino. Prior to moving back west, Mike Harvey owned and operated Weatherby Lake Studios in Kansas City, MO for over two decades, and in the '90's Mike also owned and operated the Kansas City music mecca, The Tuba, where countless legends in Blues, Jazz, and Rock N' Roll enjoyed sharing music with the Kansas City enthusiasts, and Mike himself was known to share the stage with a great many heavy hitters. TONY JACK GRIGSBY - BASS Tony Jack grew up steeped in southern blues and country music, emerging as a professional bass player in the early Los Angeles and Hollywood rock and roll scene of the 60‘s. Drafted into the Army he ended up touring and entertaining the troupes at USO clubs throughout Germany. Back to LA playing up and down the west coast, and then on to being part of a vibrant early 70’s music scene in Aspen Colorado as well as touring across the country.
