All students who apply directly from high school (or are under the age of 21) are guaranteed a place in residence for both first and second year. Combined degrees allow you to earn two degrees by blending your passions into a five-year program. You can combine programs offered by two different faculties, or two programs offered by the same faculty. 15 information Admission Information High School Students GCE (BRITISH SYSTEM) STUDENTS Students currently in their senior year of high school, or those who have recently graduated, will be considered for admission based on their high school courses. If you are an international student or a Canadian student who has studied outside of Canada, you will be considered for admission on the basis of your senior level high school studies. Completion of at least 12 years of schooling and satisfactory standing in five appropriate subjects are required. Students must present five distinct and appropriate GCE/GCSE subjects, with at least two at the Advanced (or Principal) level. Any subject presented at both Advanced and GCSE or Ordinary levels will not be considered as two distinct subjects. AMERICAN CURRICULUM STUDENTS If you are studying in the United States or in an international school with American curriculum, you are required to submit a transcript showing your complete high school record. We will use a combination of senior level, honours and/or AP courses to determine your admission eligibility. In addition, we require either ACT (minimum composite score of 24) or SAT Reasoning Test (minimum average score of 1100, with no score lower than 400, calculated over either Critical Reading or Writing, whichever is higher, and Math). Please note that while not required, SAT Subject Test results will be accepted in lieu of appropriate in-class courses for admission consideration. International Baccalaureate (IB) Students If you are a high school student you may submit both your high school curriculum results and your IB Diploma results. We will use whichever results work to your advantage when we make early and formal admission decisions. The minimum diploma score required (including bonus points) is 24—some programs require a higher score. Please note that we will consider the two sets of results independently and will not blend them to determine your eligibility. For IB Certificate students, we will use your high school grades for admission and only use your IB Higher Level courses for advanced credit. You go above and beyond what is required and strive to make a difference in your community.
