MANAGEMENT
The Associate of Business Administration Degree
in MANAGEMENT prepares students for entrylevel positions in a wide range of organizations as
well as providing a basic foundation in the
elements of business and finance. Course offerings
introduce students to management principles and
concepts while also emphasizing the application of
some of those principles and concepts in a variety
of situations.
The MANAGEMENT major is interdisciplinary
and integrates materials from courses taken in other
departments. Required courses provide an introduction to the human and financial dimensions of
how organizations might successfully function in a
turbulent and global environment. Courses within
the MANAGEMENT major stress continual
development of oral and written communication
skills as well as analytical and computer skills.
The MANAGEMENT curriculum helps students
develop methods of inquiry and offers active
participation in the learning process. Students
engage in problem-solving and decision-making,
individually and within groups.
