ADMISSION TO OMEGA COLLEGE
All persons wishing to enroll at Omega
College, including students transferring from
other institutions, must meet the following:
1) GENERAL ADMISSION
REQUIREMENTS:
Complete the Omega College Application
and submit all of the required
documents.
2) ACADEMIC CRITERIA FOR
ADMISSION:
 Five (5) Bahamas General Certificate
of Secondary Education (BGCSE) /
GCE ordinary level passes including
English Language and Mathematics,
with grades of “C” or above, or

The CXC Certificate in General
Proficiency with grade 1 or 2 in five
(5) subjects, including English
Language and Mathematics.
COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAM
Those applicants who do not meet the
Academic Requirements for Admission, must
complete The College Preparatory
Program at Omega College.
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT COHORT
The Upper Level courses of the Business Management
degree program are organized in a Cohort Model where
courses run in 5/10 week sessions sequentially. Transfer
credits are not accepted for Cohort courses.
To be eligible for the Business Management Cohort, students must have completed a minimum of 45 transferable college credits at the Lower Level, including English
and Mathematics.
TRANSFER CREDIT POLICY
Omega College accepts transfer credits upon receipt of
an official transcript, directly from the institution at
which the courses were completed. Omega College is
not obligated to accept transfer credits from institutions
with which it does not have an articulation agreement.
In some instances, credit for several courses may be combined to fulfill the requirements of one Omega College
course.
Transfer credits are awarded for a grade of "C" or above
and are not included in the Omega College GPA calculation. A maximum of 60 credits will be accepted for
transfer into Omega College's Bachelor level degree programs. Credits are transferred in semester hour equivalents.

The Bachelor of Arts in BUSINESS MANAGEMENT is designed to accommodate the needs of
today’s adult learners and allows those in supervisory or management positions to obtain the academic credentials that complement their work experience. This is an accelerated program through
which credit may be earned for prior experiential
learning/relevant work experience up to a maximum of 27 credits. Adult learners in the Business
Management program must have at least 3 years
of full time supervisory work experience. Course
offerings allow adult learners to develop their
management skills and enhance their decisionmaking abilities.
