I continue to be honoured and privileged to be the Principal of Father Michael Goetz Catholic Secondary School. I am especially excited and blessed to be part of school that is in its 27 th year, rich in tradition, strong in its Catholic teachings, and proud of its academic, spiritual, co-circular and athletic accomplishments.
It has been a rewarding first semester 2012-2013! I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the students, the parents and the staff for their phenomenal efforts in making Father Michael Goetz
Catholic Secondary School the best it can be. It has been my challenge to our school community to “Growing Together In Faith” and to be “the best Gator Ambassador you can be” by representing and participating as members of our Catholic school community. I sincerely hope that you have had a fulfilling and rewarding experience this semester at Father Michael Goetz Catholic Secondary School.
Over the past few months, we have seen tremendous efforts in the areas of academics, spiritual life, co-curricular activities and with our sports teams. Our school band, our school musical, our social justice activities – So What, our sports teams, our Awards Event, our faith based celebrations, our Remembrance Day, our spirit days, our October Parent Teacher Night, our student council and our parent school council have all met and have all exceeded our expectations.
Thanks to you we have continued to promote the positive Gator spirit and kept our focus on the achievement of our students!
I welcome to our Gator Family new students, new parents and returning students to this new semester. Second Semester brings new challenges, new activities and planning for the new school year 2012-2013. Our school continues to be a hub of activity. We look forward to the fast pace and the number of events ahead.
I continue to encourage you to get involved in our school life and make the most of your time here. Our school motto challenges us to “Take a Risk, Get Involved, Be Committed” (Ed King) . I will challenge all of you to embrace our school spirit and create memories that will last a lifetime.
As a Catholic school, Father Michael Goetz Catholic Secondary has Jesus and his teachings as its central focal point. Be sure to follow our school mission statement and make every effort to develop your spiritual and creative qualities. Put your faith into action and be an example because you are truly blessed!
