Workshop Objectives
The workshop introduces participants to the mechanics and terminologies of trading and treasury
management relating to Foreign Exchange and Money Markets. Through an intensive hands-on
simulation they will also become familiar with the instruments, the factors affecting FX & Money
Markets, calculation of cross, forward and swap rates and customer pricing. Also included are
various Treasury risks and the strategies to mitigate the associated risks. Participants will come to
understand the various interdependencies of the different markets and products, how to manage
liquidity, interpret economic news and formulate and implement a complete market strategy. This
workshop will build and reinforce the participant’s understanding of Foreign Exchange, Money
Markets and Treasury Management.

The simulation workshop recreates the realism of the trading
environment and provides the opportunity to apply the concepts in a
dynamic, real world simulated Treasury environment.
Methodology
The workshop is a combination of lectures, classroom work, exercises,
quiz, and hands-on simulated Trading and Treasury Management.
Participants will be actively involved in various roles performed in a
Treasury function. These roles cover a wide spectrum, from strategic
planning and target market setting to actual customer quoting,
interbank trading, book-keeping, controls & limits, risk mitigation,
gapping and profit calculations. The key concepts and learning is
reinforced through a competitive and enjoyable simulation exercise.

BankT&D Trainer Profile
Theodore Leventis (Theo) is known as the ‘Bourse Master’ having run over 600 seminars and training
programs in 70 plus countries. He has conducted the “Treasury FX & Money Markets Simulation Workshop”
(also referred to as the ‘Bourse Game’) for Citibank and other international banks, their customers
and other organisations including Central Banks and Universities over the past 33 years. Theo helped
develop the simulation software and the ‘train-the-trainer’ program and is an internationally recognised
pre-eminent trainer.
Theo worked for Citibank’s Middle East and Africa Division Training Centre in Athens, and has conducted
Treasury training programs for Citibank since 1982. He has also conducted Treasury simulation training
in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, under the auspices of Citibank Training Centres in
Istanbul and London. In addition, he has been running programs through Citibank branches in Eastern
Europe, Middle East and Africa and also with other institutes like Central Banks and other organizations in
many countries.
Theo now works closely with BankT&D Training, and the ‘Bourse Master’s’ Treasury expertise, immense
training experience, and unique instruction style is being made available to a wider participant audience via
BankT&D Training.
