I.
Administration
National Trails Day – June 6th – 9:30 a.m. Macedonia Lake Greenway.
II.
Sports Venues
Cary Tennis Park
 The Team North Carolina 12U and 14U State Training Camp will be held on June
6-7.
 The Boys & Girls 12’s Summer Closed Championships will be held June 13 – 17.
 USTA Summer Adult League match play will begin this month. The Tennis Park
is host to 155 teams this summer, up from 125.
 Junior Team Tennis Summer season begins June 5th.
 Camp registration is ongoing. The first tennis camp of the summer will begin on
Monday, June 15.
 The Tennis Park will be hosting the NC State Games Adult Tournament June 1921.
WakeMed Soccer Park & Multipurpose fields
 WakeMed will host 3 cause runs in June on 6/5, 6/6 and 6/27
 WakeMed will host the North American Caribbean Rugby Championships on
June 13-14th.
 WakeMed will host the NC State Games on June 26-28th.
 RailHawks have a home match on June 6th and a potential US Open Cup match
on June 30th.
 Summer Camps start on June 14th.
USA Baseball National Training Complex & Softball Complexes
 USA Baseball NTC, Thomas Brooks & Middle Creek will host NC State Games
on various dates throughout June
 The USA Baseball Season begins on June 20 with the Collegiate National Team
 USA Baseball’s Tournament of Stars will begin on June 23
 Thomas Brooks and Middle Creek will host the High School Summer Softball
League beginning the week of June 29
 Thomas Brooks and Middle Creek are scheduled every weekend with
tournaments.
 Baseball and Softball Summer Camps begin on June 15.
Sk8 Cary & Action Sports
 Skate and BMX camps begin on June 15th and registration is ongoing.
 National Go Skate Day and Go BMX day will be held on June 21 & 22.
 Skate and BMX bike clinics will be held on June 11 & 25.

HobNob Jazz Concert Series presents Al Strong Quintet

A Washington, D.C. native trumpeter, arranger, and composer, Al Strong got his first exposure to jazz while attending
the esteemed Duke Ellington School for The Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Strong’s vision is to stay true to

Summer Sertoma Series presents: Old North State Brass - FREE

A day filled with family fun for you and your dogs.
Compete in a disc competition, vaccinate or microchip
your pet, and visit with local pet-focused vendors and
rescue groups raising money to donate to canine charitable
organizations. Don’t miss this chance to bring your four-legged
friend and meet up with other dog lovers.
• Skyhoundz® Local Canine Frisbee Disc
Competition: All dogs—regardless of lineage or experience—are invited to
participate. Each participant gets a free official disc (while supplies last). Prizes
are awarded to the top three competitors. Winners qualify to compete in
regional competitions. Spectators—human and canine—are welcome!
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Competitions begin at 10 a.m.
• Rabies Vaccines and Microchipping Clinics: Keep your pets safe by getting
them vaccinated and microchipped. Cats and dogs are welcome. All pets must
be on a leash or in a carrier. Microchips and rabies vaccines are available on a
first-come, first-served basis (while supplies last). Microchip: $10 per pet. Rabies
Vaccine: $5 per pet
• Cary Teen Council Dog Wash: After competing in the competition or visiting
the vendors, let “Fido” cool down with a cool and refreshing bath. Cary Teen
Council will wash and dry your dog before you head home. Please,
friendly dogs only! Small Dogs (1-10 lbs.): $5; Medium Dogs (11-30 lbs.): $7

National Trails Day has inspired nearly a million trail enthusiasts to flock to their favorite
trails to discover and celebrate trails! Bring work gloves, wheelbarrows, shovels, and
rakes and help with trail improvements. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an
adult. Lunch provided for the registered volunteers by the Friends of Hemlock
Bluffs at noon.
Grand BINGO Adventure

PARADE DECORATIONS-KIWANIS SHELTER

Decorate your bike, trike, stroller, wagon, scooter, battery-powered kid’s vehicle,
or yourself and participate in a slow, kid-friendly parade through the park to
celebrate our American pride. No gas-powered vehicles. You are welcome to
provide your own decorating supplies, come already decorated, or use our
decorations while supplies last. Supplies and assistance provided by the Cary
Teen Council.
