2016 Entry Application Information For international students studying in Queensland. QUEENSLAND CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION (QCE) AND IB STUDENTS How do I apply? International students who are currently studying the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) or the IB in Queensland should apply through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Check the VTAC website for application closing dates (most applications should be submitted by the end of September). FOUNDATION STUDENTS ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS How do I apply? How do I accept my offer? Applications are made directly to the University of Melbourne online at: Refer to the Offer Acceptance Information available online at: futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/int/ ugrad/how-to-apply With your application you must include: AUD$100 assessment fee (credit card, money order or bank draft); and Copies of your academic transcripts, including your foundation program results to date and results from your final year of high school in your home country. vtac.edu.au Full details regarding the VTAC application process can be found on the VTAC website or in the 2016 VTAC Guide, which will be available for purchase from newsagents in mid-July. How are offers made? How are offers made? A conditional offer is usually sent to all eligible applicants. The conditional offer letter outlines the specific requirements you must meet in order to receive an unconditional offer. Requirements may include the successful completion of prerequisite subjects, meeting the English language requirement and achieving a guaranteed or indicative entry score. Succesful applicants will receive an offer message in their VTAC user account at 2pm on 8 January 2016. You will then receive an offer email from the University. The University of Melbourne will provide further information about how to accept or apply to defer the offer if you are offered a place in a course. The University does not receive your final results automatically. You must send copies of your final results to the University’s International Admissions Office once they are available. If the conditions of your offer are met, you will be emailed an unconditional offer letter with a personalised acceptance form. futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/ isoai You must return your acceptance form as soon as possible to minimise any delays with visa processing. You must also include: 1. A minimum deposit payment of AUD$10,000 — this payment is credited towards your tuition fees as your first installment; 2. Visa-length Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) payment The University’s International Admissions Office will issue an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) which you will use to obtain/ extend your student visa.
