calculated on a traditional 4.0 scale. Weighted courses, noted as “honors” on the transcript, receive an
additional quality point in computing GPA. AP

ACADEMIC SCHOOL YEAR
The academic year is 36 weeks long. There are six 55
minute class periods per day. Students can earn 6
credits per year during the regular school year.
Students enrolled in college courses may earn additional credits.
COMMUNITY SERVICE/SERVICE-LEARNING
All LCS students have a service requirement, seniors
must serve the community with a minimum of 50
hours of service.

Students at Lincoln Charter have the opportunity to
earn college credit. These credits are available
through the Career and College Promise Program.

Students at Lincoln Charter have
the opportunity to take courses
through NC Virtual Public School
(NCVPS). Students who qualify
