For students to improve and become more keen on their spelling skills
Requirements:
1. Memorize your list of 300 words
2. Know the meaning of all 300 words
3. Know how to use them in a sentence.
Instructions: Do the following items as part of your project and
complete them by the due date given.
1. Copy the list shown to you by your teacher in your notebook.
2. Repeat all 300 words 5 times each in notebook paper. This should
be presentable. If you make a mistake redo it.
3. You must write the part of speech, definition and sentence for each
word. You can either do this in flashcards or typed.
4. Spelling bee presentation will be the week of projects. Actual date
to be confirmed by teacher.
Auditorium presentation of Spelling Bee.
The following are the rules to follow during the auditorium internal
presentation of the Spelling Bee Contest.
1. You must present yourself with the formal uniform.
2. You will sit on the stage in the order established by the teacher on
stage.
3. When given the word you must say the word, spell the word, and
repeat the word; this indicates you have finished spelling the word.
If you forget this, the word is considered incorrect.
4. You are allowed to ask for 1 repetition of the word.

5. You are allowed to ask for the definition of the word or a sentence
using the word.
6. You are allowed to make 1 correction with the word. When
correcting a word you must start from the beginning. You are
allowed to correct the word only if you have not repeated the word
at the end finalizing your turn.

1. You will be having a Spelling Bee Internal Contest every week.

Evaluation
Grading: The following will be considered for the grading.
• Repetition of words 10%
• Class participation – (during internal spelling bee) 10%
• Flash Card -- Definitions, sentences, part of speech 20%
• Oral spelling bee 60%.
• 1st word correct -- 10
• 2nd word correct --8
• 3rd word -- 6
• If you don't get any of the first 3 words you forfeit your project
grade.
Due Date: check above for due dates
The winners of the internal contest will receive 1 point over their midterm
grade and you will participate in the official spelling bee contest.
