Q: Will there be any Orientation conducted for new students and what should I do if i miss the
Orientation?
A: Yes, orientation will be conducted for new students. Please contact the Student Services Centre if you
have missed the Orientation.

Q: Will I be issued with Student Card as a new student?
A: Student will be issued a UOW student card and a PSB Student Card.
3.
Q: Why do I need the PSB Student Card?
A: The school will be implementing the e-Attendance system whereby all students will need the card to
tap at the e-Attendance reader to mark their attendance. The card also serves as identification during
examination, as well as library card to borrow books from PSB’s library and the booking of PSB Academy
sports facilities.

Q: I have lost the PSB Student Card, what should I do?
A: Students are to fill in the “Application for replacement of PSB Student card” form and make a fee for
the replacement of the card. The PSB student card will be ready for collection 2 weeks upon receipt of
the completed application form. You will be notified via email when the card is ready for collection.
For claims relating to the stored value on the card and other matters, please approach NETS Office at:
298 Tiong Bahru Road, #04-01/06, Central Plaza, Singapore 168730.

Q: I have lost my University Student card. What should I do?
A: Please contact your Programme Executive for assistance.

Q: What should I do if there are changes in my personal particulars (eg: address, contact nos)
A: Student is to submit the form ‘Change in Personal Particulars’ available at Student Services Centre (A107) or send an email to UOW@psb-academy.edu.sg. Student is to update particulars via UOW Student
Online Services (SOLS) at the same time.

Q: When and where can I obtain a copy of the timetable?
A: Student will receive a copy of the timetable at least 2 weeks before the start of a new term. The
timetable is also available at PSB Academy website http://www.psb-academy.edu.sg/currentstudents/resources/timetable/university-of-wollongong-australia/

Q: How do I apply for exemptions?
A: Student can apply for exemptions by filling up the “Application for Advanced Standing, Credit or
Exemption” form located at UOW Offshore Students website below and submit to the Student Services
Centre: http://www.uow.edu.au/student/offshore/studentforms/index.html

Q: How do I enroll for the subjects?
A: For new students in the first study term, the University will automatically enroll you for the subjects
you are taking on your behalf. For subsequent terms, student is to enroll for the subjects at UOW Student
Online Services (SOLS).
10. Q: How do I identify subjects offered in 100, 200 and 300 Level?
A : From the subject code, the first digit represent the year of study. For example, ACCY112 is a subject
offered in Year 1 and it is a 100 level subject. The same apply to ACCY200 and MGMT311, these are
subjects offered in Year 2 (200 level) and Year 3 (300 level) respectively.

11. Q: What are the census dates/enrollment deadlines that I should take note of?

12. Q: How do I know which are the subjects I should be enrolled in?
A: Student is to refer to your UOW Offer Letter and the UOW Student Handbook (a copy will be
distributed at the orientation) to plan for your pathway, especially if you need to repeat some units due
to failures.
13. Q: How do I enroll for the tutorial groups, if any?
A: For new students in your first study term, you will be randomly allocated to a tutorial group. For
subsequent terms, you will be informed on the ways to enroll for your tutorial groups by your
Programme Executive at least two weeks before the subject(s) commence.

15. Q: My next study term is starting soon. Where can I obtain the study materials, booklist, unit outlines
etc?
A: Student will receive the booklist via email or at this link http://www.psbacademy.edu.sg/main/650/Student-Resources/Timetables/School-of-Business-Information-Technology/
at least 2 weeks before the new term starts.

Student will be given the materials for the 1 class. Subsequently, you can access the materials and
Course Outline at the eLearning site (access via SOLS).
16. Q: I have made the first fee payment when I first joined the programme. When should I make the
next/subsequent installment payment?
A: Student will receive the payment advice form informing you on the details for the installment payment
via email. Payment deadline is normally 2 weeks before the new terms starts.
17. Q: I would like to switch programme/specialistation. What should I do?
A: Student can apply to change major by filling the “Declare or Change Major” form at UOW Offshore
Students website below and email it to the Student Services Centre:

18. Q: I would like to defer my studies. What should I do?
A: Student can apply for leave of absence only after having studied at least one term by filling the
“Application for Leave of Absence” form at UOW Offshore Students website below and email it to the

The maximum period of leave of absence allowed is 12 months.

19. Q: My student’s pass is going to expire. What should I do?
A: Student should complete the “Renewal of Student Pass” Form to apply for student’s pass renewal at
least 1 month before your student’s pass expiry date.
20. Q: I would like to withdraw from the subjects that I have enrolled. How should I go about doing it?
A: Student can withdraw from the subjects/make changes to your enrolment before the online enrolment
closes. After the last enrolment day, student can apply for subject withdrawal by filling “Late Withdrawal
without Academic Penalty” form at UOW Offshore Students website below and email it to the
Programme Executive: http://www.uow.edu.au/student/offshore/studentforms/index.html
21. Q: I would like to withdraw from the programme. How should I go about doing it?
A: Student can apply for programme withdrawal by filling the “Course Withdrawal” form at UOW
Offshore Students website below and email it to the Programme Executive:

22. Q: I would like to switch subjects. What should I do?
A: Student can withdraw from the subjects/make changes to their enrolment before the online
enrolment closes. After the last enrolment day, you can apply for subject withdrawal by filling a form
whose copy is obtainable at UOW Offshore Students website below and email it to the Programme

23. Q: Where can I check the examination schedule?
A: Student is to refer to your timetable. Examination dates are indicated on the term timetable.
24. Q: Can I defer my examinations?
A: Student is not allowed to defer examinations without any valid reasons. Students may speak to the
PSB program coordinator for UOW programs to discuss further.
25. Q: What should I do if I miss the examinations?
A: You can apply for an Academic Consideration for the exam missed at least 3 days or within 3 days from
the examination date with a valid reason such as a medical reason at UOW Student Online Services
(SOLS); email a copy of the confirmation page and supporting documents to the Student Services Centre
at the same time.
26. Q: How do I view my examination results?
A: Student can view your results for UOW units at UOW Student Online Services (SOLS) and for bridging
units, please login to PSB Academy website: http://www.psb-academy.edu.sg/current/exam_results.htm
27. Q: Can I appeal for my examination results?
A: Yes, student may appeal for your examination results. Please contact your Programme Executive for
more information.
28. Q: Is there a limit on the number of attempts for each subject?
A: There is no limit as to how many times student can repeat a subject.
29. Q: Is there any attendance obligations?
A: In accordance to UOW attendance requirements, students should achieve at least 80% for each
enrolled subject. Student’s pass holders are required to achieve at least 90% each month for the enrolled
subjects.
30. A: What should I do if I am absent from class?
A: Students should apply for leave from class by filling in the “Application for Leave of Absence” form at
http://www.psb-academy.edu.sg/main/120/Student-Resources/Forms/Forms/ and submit it to the
Student Services Centre with supporting documents.

31. Q: I will like to transfer on-campus to complete my programme. What should I do?
A: Students who have completed at least 24 credit points at PSB Academy may be eligible to transfer to
Wollongong campus to complete the degree.

Graduation
1. Q: Will there be a Graduation Ceremony in Singapore?
A: Yes, a graduation ceremony will be held every August in Singapore. For more information, please refer

Q: How will I be notified of the Graduation Ceremony in Singapore?
A: Students will expect to receive an email from their Programme Executive advising the details of the
graduation ceremony at least a month before the event itself.

Q: How do I collect my Certificate and transcript?
A: Students will expect to receive an email from their Programme Executive advising when and where
