United Arab Emirates (UAE) has approximately an enrolment of over 3,500 students representing

105 nationalities. Dubai, a city often regarded as the most cosmopolitan and westernised city in the

Middle East, offers a unique international experience for UOW students. This FAQ sheet provides information to assist with your planning to include studies for your UOW degree at this exciting new international study destination.

What can I study at UOWD?

UOWD offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs so qualified students can select from a wide range of subjects to fit their UOW course requirements. Students will need to check availability of each subject for the semester in which they intend to participate. Information about the UOWD selection of subjects is available at the following link: http://www.uowdubai.ac.ae/undergraduate-programs/subject-descriptions

Who is eligible to participate in the Dubai Study program?

Students enrolled in a relevant degree at UOW who meet the normal requirements for participating in the International Exchange Program are eligible to apply for a place in the Dubai Study Program.

The final selection will be based on academic merit and other ambassadorial qualities of individual applicants.

How will the studies be recorded on my academic record?

UOWD follows the same curriculum as UOW, so students can study the same subjects as they would at UOW- subject to availability. Students will also continue to be enrolled at UOW, even though they will be studying at UOWD. The UOW transcript will state that the student has undertaken a session at UOWD, with your marks from subjects undertaken at UOWD appearing on your UOW transcript.

What fees are applicable?

All visa fees, travel and accommodation fees are the responsibility of the individual students.

Students will continue to pay tuition fees or other fees payable under normal UOW billing arrangements.

Where will I live?

Apartment style, shared rooms will be made available for students in the University Residences.

There are separate residences for male and female students. Details of accommodation costs can be found under the prospective student links on the UOWD website at www.uowdubai.ac.ae

.

Program Advanced Standing Form), a personal statement, a financial statement, and two references and submit it to the Office of Global Student Mobility. The closing date for programs commencing in

January is mid-June; the closing date for applications commencing in September is December of the year prior.

How is the program of study at UOWD approved?
