Configuring iPhone or iPod Touch for Exchange This document will step you through the process of configuring an iPhone or iPod Touch to receive New York Times email via Exchange. You must be running iPhone OS 3.0 and iTunes 8 or higher. Step 1: ! Tap Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then Add Account, then ! Microsoft Exchange. Step 2: ! On the next screen, enter your complete email address, domain, username, ! password, and a description. Enter your full New York Times email address, i.e. example@nytimes.com Enter: ent Enter your 6 digit EIN number Enter your Active Directory password Enter a description, i.e. NYT Mail Step 3: ! Tap Next, you will then need to enter the Exchange server information. Enter: eas.nytco.com 11/3/09 Page 1 of 2 Step 4: ! Choose which type(s) of data you would like to synchronize Turn ON to sync with Exchange Turn ON to sync with Exchange Step 5: ! If you sync your contacts and calendars with iTunes you will get the following ! message. If you sync your contacts and calendars with Appleʼs MobileMe ! service you may not get this message. Important: ! If you choose “Delete” all existing Contacts and/or Calendars ! ! will be removed and replaced with contacts and calendars from ! ! Exchange. This is not recommended. Choose this to Keep existing Contacts or Calendars. Choose this to Delete existing Contacts or Calendars. 11/3/09 Done! ! ! You will now receive your New York Times mail on your iPhone or iPod !Touch. It may take up to 15 minutes to complete the synchronization. ! ! ! By default, only 3 days' worth of email is synchronized. To synchronize more, go into Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars, select your Exchange account, and tap on Mail days to sync. Page 2 of 2
