Late homework will be accepted no later than a week after due date for a 50% reduction in grade. No credit will be given to late projects. Notebooks: Each page should be labeled (Chapter and Section) Students should group all of the notes for the chapter together, all of the chapter terms together, and chapter questions. The chapter section should end with the worksheets that pertain to the chapter. This will be helpful when it comes time to study. Citizenship: Citizenship represents 20% of the class grade. Students are expected to listen, take notes, raise hands to ask questions or make comments, and work quietly and independently unless it is a group assignment. A record will be maintained for demerits earned in class. It is the students’ responsibility to check their citizenship grades if they have concerns. It is not my desire to discipline you! To the degree that you are self-disciplined, I will not have to discipline you! (I Cor. 11:31 and Gal. 5:18) Laboratory Policy: Safety is our number one concern. Students will be taught and tested on lab procedures and safety. Any actions that may be deemed inappropriate or unsafe will definitely be reflected in citizenship and possibly will result in a referral. Tests and Quizzes: Students are responsible for following the assignment calendar to be prepared for tests. Tests will occur every two or three weeks. Should you miss a test or quiz, YOU are responsible for making it up within a week of your absence. Personal Message: I am so pleased to have you as a student this year! I pray that you will be fully engaged with our subject so that you will be even more equipped for the PURPOSE that the Lord has for your life!
