BIOLOGY SUMMER ASSIGNMENT This summer assignment has been designed for three purposes: To motivate you to think during those summer months to keep your mind sharp, because we will expect a lot out of it come August! To expand your vocabulary by familiarizing you with terms that we will be using in class To introduce you to major concepts from Biology that will be used throughout the year ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY Assignment # Task 1 Biology Vocabulary (create flashcards of pertinent vocabulary that will be used throughout the year) 2 Biology Prefixes & Suffixes (research the meanings of common prefixes and suffixes used in scientific terms) 3 Elements & Macromolecules (study elements and macromolecules that are essential to life) *These assignments are due the first day of school (Aug 24). These will count for the first assignment grades that you will receive. Please make sure that you start the year off on the right foot and turn in quality work.
