II. Derivation - used for the formation of new words by adding affixes - change of meaning/word class is possible - Suffixes can change the word class, prefixes can’t! III. Please analyse “disappointments” using a tree! a) Name the root, prefixes and suffixes and say if the latter ones result in a change of word class! b) Look at the sentence a) and mark inflections!
