Synthesis and Application of Functional Hybrid Materials Based on Layered Double Hydroxides (LDH) Yongjun Feng Dr. Associate Professor State Key Laboratory of Chemical Resource Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, 100029, China E-mail: yjfeng@mail.buct.edu.cn Layered double hydroxides (LDH), as one kind of anionic clays, has been widely employed as the inorganic matrix to prepare various kinds of functional hybrid materials because of tunable chemical compositions, adjustable charge density and exchangeable anions. The interactions between the host sheet and the guest anions are available to hinder the migration and to enhance the thermo- and the photo-stability of the organic guest species in the interlayer region. This talk will give two examples regarding the application of LDH materials: hybrid pigment and hybrid antioxidant.
