RESOLVE GRIEVANCES AND DISPUTES (LEVEL 4) This course aims to develop the knowledge and skill sets necessary to resolve grievances and disputes effectively. It is ideal for HR managers and line managers/ supervisors who deal with workplace grievances and disputes. Knowing the appropriate policies and procedures will also help organizations take the necessary action to proactively address issues before they can arise. The programme also covers how investigations into claims are to be carried out and successful negotiation techniques that can be applied to grievance and dispute settlement. By the end of the workshop, participants would be able to understand: · Singapore Legal Framework and Code of IR Practice · Effective Communication Skills Necessary to Prevent Escalation of Grievances and Disputes · Collective Bargaining / Negotiation Skills · Facilitation / Grievance Handling Skills and Techniques · Appropriate Disciplinary Actions · Work with Involved Parties to Investigate Validity and Credibility of Claims · Steps Required In the Event Where Termination of Service Is Required · Proper Dismissal Handling Procedures 3. PROMOTE HARMONIOUS TRIPARTITE RELATIONS (LEVEL 5) This course addresses the skills and knowledge required to promote harmonious tripartite relations in Singapore Industrial Relations (IR) System. It also covers the necessary steps required for collective bargaining processes. By the end of the workshop, participants would be able to understand: · Development of IR in Singapore and Role of Trade Union Movement in Promoting Industrial Harmony · The Legislative Framework · Promotion of Good IR Practices · Develop Organizational Policies and Processes to Strengthen Labour and Management Relations · Formulate Organization’s Position for Collective Bargaining and to Settle Disputes · Document Outcomes of Collective Bargaining to Safeguard Interests of Stakeholders · Devise Standards or Codes of Practice Relating to Industrial Matters & Agreements · Conflict Resolution Within the Organization · Lead the Bargaining Process to Achieve Agreement and Mutually Acceptable Outcomes WHO SHOULD ATTEND: These courses are suitable for HR Practitioners and Line Managers/Supervisors. COURSE DURATION: Each module is 2 days (16 contact hours and 1 hour of Final Assessment). Final Assessment is normally held about 3 weeks after the course. CERTIFICATION: Participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) upon successful completion of each module and assessment of the training course. Participants who successfully complete Module 1, 2 and 3 will be awarded the WSQ Certified HR Professional (Industrial Relations). TRAINING DATES: Courses can be arranged based on dates proposed by Company with a minimum class size of 18, subject to availability of Trainers.
