New meeting location beginning November 3, 2004 at
Brooklyn’s Saloon and Steak House By John Bilodeau
Attention: We are moving again! Here is an update concerning our new
general meeting location beginning with our November 3, 2004 meeting. As stated
in the Odometer and on our web site (ZCCC.org) since August, we have been
holding our general meetings at the Moose Hill Cantina at 955 S. Kipling Parkway in
Lakewood.
Effective with our November 3, 2004 meeting, the Club will be moving to
the Brooklyn’s Saloon and Steakhouse located at 2644 W. Colfax Avenue in Denver.
Although the address says Colfax, it really is off W. Howard Place. Brooklyn’s is
centrally located and is easily accessible from I-25, or the 6th Street Freeway. The
restaurant is located just south of Mile High Stadium. We will be meeting on the 2nd
Floor in one of their two upstairs meeting rooms. Brooklyn’s is a well known longtime restaurant located close to Mile High Stadium, the Pepsi Center, and Coors
Field. They have an extensive menu and it should be a fun place to hold our monthly
meetings. Continued on page #6.
Z-Club Christmas bash By John Bilodeau
Can you believe the Holidays are almost upon us! With that in mind, please note on
your Z-Club calendar that it is time to find the old crock-pot and get ready for the ZClub’s annual Christmas Party. Mike and Janet Goddard have opened up their home
for this annual holiday event. (Thanks Mike, did you ask Janet?) With all the
approvals in place, we will be celebrating the holidays at the Goddard’s home on
Saturday December 11, 2004 beginning at 6pm. The gala will continue as long as
the food and drinks last. Continued on page#6.

thanks are Bobby and Cher Givens for their duties
of Membership Coordinator and Secretary,
respectively. Often times these positions seem to be
overshadowed by others, however, the Club could
not have functioned without the work of these two
dedicated members. Thanks also to Larry Brooks
for paying the bills and keeping the Club a-float
financially. Thanks Joann Sainz-Dean for being our
Inter-Club liaison, Larry Troxell for his work as
Public Relations Director, and to Chris Abrue for
coordinating the monthly The Odometer. Chris
does not have an opportunity to make many
monthly meetings due to living in Colorado
Springs, but his efforts are greatly appreciated.
I guess I could honestly say I am a little
nervous about being elected Club President for
2005. I have only been a Club member since
September 2002 but I know that the Club is
composed of a lot of great members to assist me in
my duties. Other new Board Members for 2005
include Patty Troxell as Vice President, Ira Sanders
as Secretary, and Donna Brooks is assuming the
Membership Coordinator position. Continuing
Board Members include Larry Brooks as Treasurer,
Joann Sainz-Dean as Inter-Club Liaison, and Larry
Troxell as Public Relations Director. Chris Abrue
will continue to publish the Odometer for the Club.
Thanks also to Walt Caron and Carlos Tamayo for
their work on revamping and updating the Club’s
website. I look forward to working with these
board members as well as working and meeting
with as many of the other club members as possible
during 2005.
Also, a great big thanks to Joann Sainz-Dean
for coordinating a wonderful 2004 Annual Banquet
at the Green Gables Country Club. The setting was
beautiful, the food was great, and all had a good
time.
Just a reminder that beginning with our
November 3, 2004 meeting, our new location for
our monthly meetings will be the Brooklyn’s
Saloon and Steak House, located at 2644 W. Colfax
Avenue, just south of Invesco Field at Mile High.
(Can we just say Mile High Stadium??) The
November Odometer will have more information
and a map to help navigate to the new meeting site.

Introduction: To commemorate their 50th
Anniversary (1934 to 1984), NISSAN MOTOR
Corporation issued a Special Edition version of
their new 300ZX Turbo. The "1984 300ZXT 50th
Anniversary Edition" was produced in limited
numbers. A continuation of the popular Z-Car line,
the new first-generation 300ZX featured substantial
technical advantages over its predecessors and
continued the movement of the Z Car from its role
as a Sports/GT toward a more modern and luxurious
Grand Touring Car.

displayed the 50th Anniversary logo (shown below)
only 5000 1984 300ZX's received the truly
"significant" appearance and performance
enhancements found in the 50th Anniversary
Edition Option Package.

Z-Club Christmas bash By John Bilodeau
Can you believe the Holidays are almost upon us! With that in mind, please note on your Z-Club
calendar that it is time to find the old crock-pot
and get ready for the Z-Club’s annual Christmas
Party. Mike and Janet Goddard have opened up
their home for this annual holiday event. (Thanks
Mike, did you ask Janet?) With all the approvals
in place, we will be celebrating the holidays at
the Goddard’s home on Saturday December 11,
2004 beginning at 6pm. The gala will continue
as long as the food and drinks last.
Similar to years past, the party will be a
potluck dinner with Club members bringing their
best Holiday treats and goodies for all of the rest

of us to enjoy. Members attending are asked to sign up at the November and/or December meeting and specify
what goodies they plan on bringing i.e. appetizer, salad, vegetable dish, or dessert. The Club will provide the
main course and non-alcoholic drinks. Mike’s address is 1831 S. Parfet Court in Lakewood, very close to the
Moose Hill Cantina where we have had our last couple of Club meetings. Parfet Court is just west of the
Kipling and Jewell intersection in Lakewood. Mike will provide more directions.
Also, remember to bring your Toys-For-Tots gift to the event. As in the past, we are planning to
participate in this worthwhile event.
Please note on your calendar this Year-End event and plan on joining your Z-Club friends at the
Goddards’ home this coming Saturday December 11.

Let’s do Breakfast by Tammy Sanders
Many of our cars will have been put up for a long winter’s rest, but don’t let that stop you from having
some fun. Dig out your other horseless carriage and let’s head to Historic Georgetown for breakfast and some
pre-holiday shopping. November 13th , 2004, Meet at the Park & Ride at 6th & Union (east end) at 7:30 am.
We will take a leisurely drive up to Georgetown, and head for the Happy Cooker Restaurant, across the street
from a parking lot next to the Hotel de Paris Museum. The food looked and smelled good when I went in and
made some inquires. After breakfast we can check out the many Galleries, Gift, Jewelry and Antique stores in
Georgetown or (just up the road) Silver Plume. Or perhaps you would like to continue up I-70 to go skiing with
Larry. This would be a good opportunity to start your Holiday Shopping, or if you have already started, to
finish it up.
I will have maps and a list of places to visit. Bring your two-way radios (set to 5.30). For more
information, please contact Tammy Sanders.
Editor note by Chris Abrue
I have been asked to print tech articles about Z cars. I copy and paste articles from the Internet when
space is available. If you have an Internet site that features articles about the 350Z, please email me (see
General Information within for my email address). For the most recent Z car tech articles, I recommend
subscribing to the SportZ magazine, a quarterly publication.
Regarding pictures of cars for sale appear from 2 by 3 inches to larger pics. I vary the pictures sizes
depending on the amount space available in The Odometer.
