By Kayla Fitzgerald
TAKE 5
It’s 8AM on a Saturday morning! You jump
out of bed and throw on jeans, a T-shirt, a
zip up sweatshirt, a pair of sneakers, and a
baseball cap. But first things first, time for
breakfast at The Breakfast Club, better get
going the line is always out the door! 10AM:
Time to go, the duck tour leaves promptly at
10:45AM. After seeing awesome sights and
getting great laughs from your tour guide
it’s time for some lunch! Time to head to
the seaport to find some New England clam
chowder! 2:45PM? YIKES! The baseball
game starts at 3:30PM, we need to get to
Fenway ASAP, let’s jump on the T! Did
that sound like an amazingly awesome fun
filled day? If so you need to visit Boston,
Massachusetts.

Boston, Massachusetts is located in the
northeastern part of the United States.
Boston is a lively city filled with many college
students! There are 53 colleges within the
Boston area and on average about a quarter
million students live in the area. I should
know! I attended one of those 53 colleges. Go
Lasell Lasers!
Boston is a great city to visit! Over eighteen
million tourists visit Boston each year! Who
can blame them? Shopping on Newbury
Street, catching a Celtics, Bruins or Red Sox
game, checking out the Museum of Fine Arts,
going on a Duck Tour, walking The Freedom
Trail, and you can grab a bowl of New
England clam chowder for a ballpark price of
less than $5! I don’t think you can beat that!
1) The famous Citgo sign contains five miles worth of neon light tubing to light it up.
2) Boston had the very first public school in the United States.
3) Boston is the home of the first subway in the United States. It was made in 1897.
4) Harvard was the first college in North America and was founded in the year 1636.
5) The Boston Burger Company hails as one of the best 15 hamburgers in the United
States by Diners, Drive- In’s and Dive’s television show. I’ve eaten there plenty of
times! Get the Vermonster Burger! It is topped with maple mayo, caramelized apples,
onions, cheddar cheese, maple syrup and bacon!
