PROCUREMENT EXPRESS NEWS Our goal: To get you what you need when you need it. Today’s Topic: How to expedite small printing/copying orders FedExKinko’s will be removing their equipment by June 22, 2007. With their departure, there have been many inquiries on how to get expedited services for envelopes, letterheads, color copies, large volume black and white copies and small dollar offset printing jobs. Please follow these procedures for future work. Letterheads, Envelopes, Business Cards, Color Copies, Large Volume B&W Copies Our first choice for this type of work should still be FedExKinko’s. We are now participating in a TEXMAS contract that provides extremely low rates for this type of work. The contract provides for FedEx delivery direct to your desktop. There are several ways to deliver your original copy to them. 1. The preferred method of ordering work is through the Hoof Prints Doc Store. To access the FedEx Kinko’s DocStore® site, click on the following link (it’s recommended that you save the link in your favorite’s folder for easy access later): https://docstore.kinkos.com/tamuk_staff Enter your user name: (your tamuk email (i.e. ralph.stephens@tamuk.edu) and password: (tamukstaff). Note: It’s strongly recommended that you change your password after logging onto the site; click on the “Help” button at the top of the site and then select “Your Account” for assistance. If you require assistance with submitting an order, just click on the “Help” button and select “Send & Print Orders.”. Jobs submitted through the docstore will be processed at the Corpus Christi Store which is under new management. We are anticipating a greatly improved level of service from this store. The Docstore has many conveniences; including several templates for commonly ordered stationery. 2. For extremely large or complicated print jobs, you can upload the file via FTP by going to ftp://tamuk4402@ftp.kinkos.com Procurement Express News Office of Procurement & General Services Texas A&M University-Kingsville Vol VVII, Issue 3 June 11, 2007 Your username is: tamuk4402 and your logon password is: tamuk We will be conducting training on using the docstore site and FTP procedures on July 16. If you would like to attend the class please email Carroll Kelly at c-kelly@tamuk.edu to reserve a space. 3. You can also hand deliver the jobs directly to the store in Corpus Christi or you can email them to the store manager. All communications with FedExKinko’s can be directed to the store manager at: William Denson William.denson@fedexkinkos.com Phone: 361.806.2220 Fax: 361.857.2424 Cell: 956-459-9787 How to pay for FedExKinko’s Services **In order to take advantage of the TEXMAS contract pricing, you should use your FedExKinko’s account or set up a new personalized corporate account with your University Pcard. You should make an effort to get a firm quote on the price and delivery on all work submitted to FedExKinko’s. For smaller, fast turnaround copy projects, departments may choose to use a local copy center. Orders to local copy centers must use the Pcard. Offset Press, Large Run 4 Color Process, Complex Binding Projects The total job cost will be a critical factor for projects that are more conducive to offset press or other “ink on paper” processes. If the total cost is less than $5,000, the authority is delegated to the department. You can make the purchase via an L doc. We strongly recommend that you try to use HUB vendors for these projects. If the total cost is anticipated to be greater than $5,000, then you must submit the job to the Procurement Office through an R doc. The Procurement Office will require detailed specifications and will solicit bids through the marketplace. Please contact the Office of Procurement & General Services if you have questions about this procedure.
