The University of Essex, Sustainable Water Policy
The University notes its location in the driest region of the UK and aims to conserve water as a scarce resource.
Our targets in 2012/13 are:

All new buildings to be built to BREAM Excellent standards for water conservation

All water related procurement to follow best practice as laid out in sustainable procurement
policy

Provide fresh non-bottled drinking water at all catering outlets

Replace plastic bottles in meetings with refillable glass bottles filled from tap
