Salvation Bracelets Explanation
1st Bead - “Black”
This “black” bead reminds me of darkness, or something that is not clean. God
created human beings spiritually clean—without sin and without spiritual dirt in
our lives. But humans disobeyed God and committed sin. This caused the light of
God’s presence to leave the human heart, leaving mankind in spiritual darkness.
Our hearts are no longer clean. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short
of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) Sin causes darkness in a person’s heart. With
unclean hearts, we feel guilt and shame.
2nd Bead – “Red”
This “red” bead reminds me of God’s love. It is also the color of blood and reminds
us of the price God paid for our sins. After humans sinned, God continued loving
us; and, He promised one day to send a Savior to the world. This Savior is Jesus
Christ, God’s Son. Jesus is the only person who never sinned, so God accepted His
life as payment for our sins. Jesus gave His life by dying on a cross. His blood, or
life, was the offering given to pay for our sins. The Bible says, “For God so loved
the world that He gave His one and only son so that whoever believes in Him will
not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
3rd Bead – “White”
This “white” bead reminds me of light, or things that are clean. God promises to
forgive—or remove from our souls—all sin if we ask Him. We trust Jesus to remove
our sins and cleanse our hearts, making us acceptable to God. The Bible says, “If
we confess our sins, [Jesus] is faithful and just to forgive us all our sins and cleanse
us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) He promises that His Spirit will then live
in us, bringing the light of His love into our lives. All sin is removed and the
person’s soul is cleaned so that it is spotless like this white bead.”
4th Bead – “Green”
This “green” bead reminds me of life and things that grow. When we choose to
follow Jesus Christ, we receive a new life. The Bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he
is a new creation, the old is gone and everything is made new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
With this new life, we can grow closer to God and understand His ways as His Spirit
guides us. Jesus promises that when we follow Him, we have the most full and
wonderful life in the world!
5th Bead – “Gold”
This “gold” bead reminds me of heaven. Jesus is King in Heaven and He promises
all the people who trust in Him will receive eternal life. We will live permanently in
Heaven for eternity. The Bible says, “I write these things to you who believe in the
name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1 John 5:13)
When we trust Jesus as Savior, we experience eternal life—fullness of life on earth
and eternity in heaven with God.
