EUCHARISTIA MEANS "THANKSGIVING" Father, may we always remember to be thankful for everything you have given us. Life itself is a gift from you. Most of all, thank you for the gift of your Son to save us from our sins. Let us be thankful and praise you in all things, especially when we encounter His real presence in Word and Sacrament. Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. 1Thes 5:17-18 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:56-57 Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, gave thanks, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied. They picked up the fragments left over— seven baskets full. Matthew 15:35-37 Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.
