Biology End-Of-Course-Test (EOCT) Information Sheet What is the Biology EOCT? o The biology EOCT is a state-mandated test that all biology students must take in order to receive credit for their biology course. When is it? o For Mrs. Pachuta’s class, the dates are Monday, 5/13/13, and Tuesday, 5/14/13. We take the test during our class time. What is the format of the test? o The test consists of 80 multiple-choice questions that cover material from the whole course. We take 40 questions on Day 1, and 40 questions on Day 2. The test is taken on a computer. How will the EOCT affect my grade? o Your EOCT score will count as 20% of your final average in this course. (This test counts as our “final exam”) How can I prepare for the EOCT? o Study Island Make sure you complete the 2 assignments given in class: “Personalized EOCT Review Assignment” based off of your Benchmark Test results (covers first half of course material) – counts as a quiz grade. Due May 10th. “Biology EOCT Review –Part 2” covers the remaining material from the second half of our course – will replace your lowest quiz grade from this semester.
